Bilateral vestibular schwannoma (BVS) is the hallmark of neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2), both of them being present at diagnosis. We report four cases of metachronous BVS, a contralateral intracanalicular vestibular schwannomas (VS) being visible 2 to 13 years after resection of a unilateral VS.

The first case of bilateral metachronous periosteal osteosarcoma (OS) is reported. A 14-year-old white boy presented with a 1-month history of pain and swelling in his right thigh. Periosteal OS was diagnosed on a basis of the radiologic and pathologic findings.

Bilateral metachronous testicular seminoma

Metachronous colorectal cancer

A retrospective review of 1888 colorectal cancer patients demonstrated 37 metachronous cancers in 30 patients for a metachronous cancer rate of 1.6 percent. Evaluation of the index cancers consisted of the traditional single-contrast barium enema and proctoscopic evaluation.

Metachronous Occurrence of Multifocal Phaeochromocytoma

The authors report an 8-yr-old boy who presented with hypertension, psychosis, and visual disturbances due to a left adrenal phaeochromocytoma which was excised.
