[A case of metachronous bilateral malignant lymphoma of the testis].

A 67-year-old man was admitted to our hospital with complaints of left scrotal swelling with swelling of the left inguinal lymph node. Left high orchiectomy and dissection of the left inguinal lymph node were done under the diagnosis of the testicular tumor.

Clinical impact of synchronous and metachronous malignancies in patients with oral cancer
International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, 1993In a retrospective study, 20 of 379 patients (5.2%) with cancer of the oral cavity developed second malignant tumors (SMT) at various sites. The diagnosis of SMT was made with an average delay of 49.2 months. In view of the increasing incidence of SMT after curative treatment of oral cancer, the use of chemopreventive drugs should be considered.

Synchronous and metachronous malignant gliomas: CT findings.
AJNR. American journal of neuroradiology, 1988Twenty-one cases of malignant gliomas showing multiple tumor foci on CT are described. In 11 patients multiple lesions were evident on the initial CT scan (synchronous lesions); the other 10 patients developed one or more lesions months to years after the original gliomas (metachronous lesions) were documented.
