Artificial Organs, EarlyView.14 100 LVAD patients across 21 studies were analyzed. Findings indicated that obese LVAD recipients had lower short‐term mortality and higher risk of infection, thrombosis and right heart failure. There was no difference in long‐term survival between obese and non‐obese patients.
