Metal-organic frameworks

Chemical Society Reviews, 2003
Metal-organic frameworks are a recently-identified class of porous polymeric material, consisting of metal ions linked together by organic bridging ligands, and are a new development on the interface between molecular coordination chemistry and materials science.

Metal–organic framework composites

Chem. Soc. Rev., 2014
Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), also known as porous coordination polymers (PCPs), synthesized by assembling metal ions with organic ligands have recently emerged as a new class of crystalline porous materials. The amenability to design as well as fine-tunable and uniform pore structures makes them promising materials for a variety of applications ...

“Clickable” Metal−Organic Framework

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2008
We demonstrated the metal-organic framework bearing the azide group in the organic linkers and in situ click reactions with some small alkynes. The XRPD patterns indicated that the click reaction proceeded without any decomposition of the original MOF network.

Gyroidal Metal–Organic Frameworks

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2011
The gyroid is ubiquitous for underlying the construction of natural substance and artificial zeolites, but it has been, surprisingly, overlooked by chemists who work in the field of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). In this work, a series of gyroidal MOFs with gie topology, constructed from 1,2-bis((5H-imidazol-4-yl)methylene)hydrazine and octahedral ...

Magnetic metal–organic frameworks

Chemical Society Reviews, 2009
The purpose of this critical review is to give a representative and comprehensive overview of the arising developments in the field of magnetic metal-organic frameworks, in particular those containing cobalt(II). We examine the diversity of magnetic exchange interactions between nearest-neighbour moment carriers, covering from dimers to oligomers and ...

Metal–organic macrocycles, metal–organic polyhedra and metal–organic frameworks

Chemical Communications, 2009
Metal-organic macrocycles (MOMs), metal-organic polyhedra (MOPs) and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are metal-organic systems (MOSs) developed from appropriately designed ligands and selected metal ions. Metalladiazamacrocycles, a class of MOMs, are finite 2D MOSs formed from tricationic hexacoordinate metal ions and ditopic bridging ligands, N ...

Metal Organic Frameworks

2019
Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are a relatively young class of porous materials. They consist of inorganic complexes as nodes connected by multifunctional organic molecules (linkers). Highly porous MOFs reach records in terms of storage capacities for gases and vapors.

Covalent Metal–Organic Frameworks: Fusion of Covalent Organic Frameworks and Metal–Organic Frameworks

Accounts of Chemical Research
ConspectusMetal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs), as emerging porous crystalline materials, have attracted remarkable attention in chemistry, physics, and materials science. MOFs are constructed by metal clusters (or ions) and organic linkers through coordination bonds, while COFs are prepared by pure organic building ...
