[The test of metal-ceramic bonding strength among three ceramic alloies].
Shanghai kou qiang yi xue = Shanghai journal of stomatology, 2006To compare the metal-ceramic bonding strength of different ceramic alloies.30 wax sheets were divided into 6 groups at random. Each group included 5 sheets. After being invested conventionally with Bellaves SH,the samples were casted and fused with porcelain. The metal-ceramic bonding strength was evaluated. The highest bonding strength was found in Bio ...

Loss of alloy in the fabrication of metal ceramic crowns.
The International journal of prosthodontics, 1992While gold alloys are well accepted for metal ceramic restorations, the increasing cost of gold has limited their use. This study investigated the loss of a noble alloy during the fabrication of metal ceramic crowns. Weight losses resulting from (1) the casting process and cleaning of the casting, (2) sprue removal, (3) seating of the casting onto the ...

[Ceramic bonding with alloys of non-noble metals].
Deutsche zahnarztliche Zeitschrift, 1978The composition of the three non-precious metal alloys used in Germany was qualitatively analysed. The surface border between ceramics and metal was examined by scan electron microscope. Results showed that a gapless apposition can be established between metal and ceramic by proper preparation of the metal alloy and the ceramic mass.

[Changes in the metallic phase at the metal-ceramic margin of baked alloys of nonprecious metals].
Deutsche zahnarztliche Zeitschrift, 1980Five base metal alloys were investigated to determine if phase changes in the alloy microstructure occurred as a result of the porcelain baking procedure. It was found that during the oxidation treatments concentration changes in the alloy surface led to a depletion of certain elements in four of the alloys investigated.
