In this work, a magnetic core‐shell catalyst (HOF‐on‐Fe3O4/ZIF‐67) is successfully synthesized, consisting of a metal–organic framework (ZIF‐67) with magnetic Fe3O4 as the core and a porous hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) as the shell. The catalyst efficiently activated peroxymonosulfate, resulting in rapid and effective removal of water ...

Photochemistry and Photophysics of Coordination Compounds of the Main Group Metals [PDF]
The photoproperties of main group metal complexes with the electron configurations s2 (e.g. T l + , Sb3 + , Te4 + ) and s° (e.g. T l 3 + , Pb4 + ) were studied on the basis of a general concept which relates characteristic excited states to typical ...

Acid–base and metal ion binding properties of 2-thiocytidine in aqueous solution [PDF]
The thionucleoside 2-thiocytidine (C2S) occurs in nature in transfer RNAs; it receives attention in diverse fields like drug research and nanotechnology. By potentiometric pH titrations we measured the acidity constants of H(C2S)(+) and the stability constants of the M(C2S)(2+) and M(C2S-H)(+) complexes (M(2+) = Zn(2+), Cd(2+)), and we compared these ...

The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

Removal of Cu(II) and Cr(VI) from aqueous solutions by water lilies (Nymphaea spontanea) [PDF]
This study describes an investigation using water lilies (Nymphaea spontanea) to remediate heavy metals (Le. chromium and copper) from aqueous solutions and electroplating waste. Laboratory tests were conducted to evaluate the effect of different ages

Effective removal of lead (II) ions by dead calcareous skeletons: sorption performance and influencing factors [PDF]
Dead calcareous skeletons (CSs) as low-cost adsorbents were studied to remove lead ions (Pb (II)) in an aqueous solution. Factors influencing the efficiency of CSs were evaluated by adsorbent size, contact time, initial concentration, dosage ...
