High-efficiency wide-band metal-dielectric resonant grating for 20 fs pulse compression [PDF]
More than 95% average efficiency TE-polarisation diffraction over a 200 nm wavelength range centred at 800 nm is obtained by a metal-dielectric grating structure with non-corrugated mirror.

From a database of 170 pentagonal 2D materials, 4 candidates exhibiting altermagnetic ordering are screened. Furthermore, the spin‐splitting and unconventional boundary states in the pentagonal 2D altermagnetic monolayer MnS2 are investigated. A MnS2‐based altermagnetic tunneling junction is designed and, through ab initio quantum transport simulations,

CONSTRUCTION OF A PARABOLIC SOLAR COLLECTOR AND COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE PERFORMANCE OF ALUMINUM-COATED PELLICLE FILM AND ALUMINUM FOIL AS REFLECTING SURFACES [PDF]
Most of the concentrators used in solar thermal systems are made from mirrors or metals with mirror or other highly reflective surfaces. Because mirror is the best reflecting surface for solar collectors and parabolic mirrors are expensive, people in the

Controlled syntheses of lanthanide coordination polymers based on the dihydroxybenzoquinone (DHBQ) organic linker afforded large single crystals of Ln‐DHBQ CPs (Ln = Yb, Nd). A novel structural variant of Yb‐DHBQ is identified by means of single crystal diffraction analysis.

Positive‐Tone Nanolithography of Antimony Trisulfide with Femtosecond Laser Wet‐Etching
A butyldithiocarbamic acid (BDCA) etchant is used to fabricate various micro‐ and nanoscale structures on amorphous antimony trisulfide (a‐Sb2S3) thin film via femtosecond laser etching. Numerical analysis and experimental results elucidate the patterning mechanism on gold (reflective) and quartz (transmissive) substrates.

Probing of sub-picometer vertical differential resolutions using cavity plasmons
Plasmon rulers can be used for resolving ultrasmall material changes. Here, the authors show how cavity plasmons in a metal nanowire-on-mirror setup can be used to probe vertical dimensional changes with sub-picometer differential resolution using two ...

(Acetylacetone isonicotinoylhydrazonato-κ3O,N′,O′)dioxidovanadate(V) monohydrate
The hydrazone anion in the title compound, [V(C11H12N3O2)O2]·H2O, is zwitterionic as its pyridyl N atom is protonated; the O, N and O′ atoms span the axial–equatorial–axial positions of the trigonal-bipyramidal ...

Exploring the photocatalytic reverse water–gas shift (RWGS) reaction on doped SrTiO3 nanoparticle films, reveals that normalizing catalytic rates by the catalyst's specific surface area (SSA) disentangled surface area effects from the catalyst's intrinsic material properties.
