Study on Movement and Distribution Characteristics of Metal Particle Dust in DC GIL
IEEE transactions on dielectrics and electrical insulation, 2022Gas-insulated transmission lines (GILs) have a wide application prospect in special occasions such as cross-terrain power transmission. Metal particle contamination is an important reason for low insulation performance of GIL.

Metallic Particles in Astronomy
Astrophysics and Space Science, 1988We discuss some implications of iron whiskers condensing in supernova ejecta and being expelled into interstellar and intergalactic space. The supposition that the universal microwave background is a relic from an early hot state of the Universe is shown to be not as secure as is commonly supposed.

Towards improved electroplating of metal-particle composite coatings
, 2020The electrodeposition of composite coatings containing included particles in a metal matrix dates back, at least, to the 1920s. The process involves both electroplating of metal and electrophoretic coating of particles but can often be carried out in ...

In this paper we present a novel and versatile technique for the production of ultrafine metal particles by evaporation from a temperature-regulated oven containing a reduced atmosphere of an inert gas. An extensive investigation of particles of oxidized Al, with diameters of 3 to 6 nm, has been performed. We have also studied ultrafine particles of Mg,

Morphing Metal–Polymer Janus Particles
Advanced Materials, 2013The direct deformation and shape recovery of micron-sized polystyrene particles via nanoimprint lithography is reported. The recovery of the programmed PS particles can be utilized to create a range of smart Janus particles with contrasting properties in conductivity and topography, by use of metal-layer constrained recovery.
