Aesthetic Revolution: How Art Shapes Social Worlds

open access: yesSocial and Personality Psychology Compass, Volume 20, Issue 4, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Art inhabits the imagination, but can it influence real‐world issues? While some scholars cast art as autonomous from moral and civic life, others see it as deeply entangled with the social world. We address this debate by synthesizing evidence on art's social influence across literature, music, visual art, and film.

Assessing Proton Radiation Hardness of Antimony Chalcogenide Solar Cells

open access: yesSolar RRL, Volume 10, Issue 6, 29 March 2026.
This paper discusses the effect of proton radiation on the device performance of antimony chalcogenide solar cells. Sb2S3 and Sb2(S, Se)3 solar cells are exposed to two different proton energies (100 and 300 keV) with fluences ranging from 1011 to 1014 protons/cm2.

Revealing the Energy Level and Charge Dynamics Interplay in Mixed Pb‐Sn Perovskite Solar Cells with Novel Phenoxazine and Phenothiazine Self‐Assembled Monolayers

open access: yesSolar RRL, Volume 10, Issue 6, 29 March 2026.
Carbazole‐based self‐assembled monolayers (SAMs) have proven effective as HTLs in perovskite solar cells (PSCs). However, the energy alignment with narrow‐bandgap lead‐tin (Pb‐Sn) perovskites is suboptimal. Here, we design four phenoxazine/phenothiazine SAMs.

Electron‐Deficient Bimetallic Oxide Electrocatalyst for High‐Efficiency Ammonia Synthesis Under Ambient Conditions

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 6, 27 March 2026.
An eco‐friendly solid‐state synthesis of an electron‐deficient Bi4V6O21@CB electrocatalyst enables efficient electrochemical nitrogen reduction (NRR) to ammonia (NH3) under ambient conditions. The synergistic Bi–V–O framework and conductive carbon support enhance N2 activation and proton‐coupled electron transfer, enabling carbon‐free NH3 production ...

DO MANUFACTURING PLANTS CLUSTER ACROSS RURAL AREAS? EVIDENCE FROM A PROBABILISTIC MODELING APPROACH [PDF]

open access: yes
A statistical procedure for detecting "contagious" location patterns for manufacturing establishments is presented. Manufacturing industries' establishment clustering tendencies are ranked based on the "dispersion parameter" of the negative binomial ...

Effects of Carbon Nanoparticles on Triboelectro‐Induced Surface Defects

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 28, Issue 6, 18 March 2026.
Carbon nanoparticles added to grease modify the electrocontact behavior. The synergy of particle concentration and electric current dominates the surface damage of metals in contact. Electrical surface damage caused by current leakage is a critical challenge in high‐performance applications such as electric vehicle (EV) drivetrains and wind turbine ...

Metal soaps in oil paint

open access: yes, 2017
From a chemical point of view, oil paintings are not stable objects. Visually, changes in the appearance of an oil painting might be very slow, but over the course of centuries, chemical reactions and physical processes do affect the colour, texture and integrity of oil paint layers.
