GC/MS Characterization of Beeswax, Protein, Gum, Resin, and Oil in Romano-Egyptian Paintings
This article presents results from a binding media survey of 61 Romano-Egyptian paintings. Most of the paintings (51) are the better-known funerary mummy portraits created using either encaustic or tempera paint medium. Samples from all the paintings (on

Untying the Knot: A Fully Recyclable, Solvent‐Free, Wide‐Spectral Photocurable Thermoset Adhesive
This study introduces a solvent‐free, recyclable adhesive that cures rapidly under visible light (400–650 nm) while maintaining robust adhesion across diverse substrates. Recyclable via simple microwave irradiation, it combines high performance with optical and bioadaptive potential, representing a significant advancement toward sustainable, circular ...

Elastocapillary Snapping: Capillarity Induces Snap-Through Instabilities in Small Elastic Beams [PDF]
We report on the capillary-induced snapping of elastic beams. We show that a millimeter-sized water drop gently deposited on a thin buckled polymer strip may trigger an elastocapillary snap-through instability. We investigate experimentally and theoretically the statics and dynamics of this phenomenon and we further demonstrate that snapping can act ...

By directly comparing the impact of dual interfacial passivation by ammonium‐, sulfonium‐ and sulfoxonium‐based cations on the performance and stability of triple cation metal halide perovskite solar cells, it is found that it is the exact molecular structure of the cation, rather than the nature of the onium that influences the efficacy of passivation

This study presents a novel silica‐based sol‐gel coating enhance with silica nanoparticles to protect glass surfaces. By reducing formulation acidity and improving resistance to environmental alteration—especially with 50 nm particles and double‐dip application—the method creates a gentle yet effective protective barrier.

Geometric and topological properties of the canonical grain growth microstructure [PDF]
Many physical systems can be modeled as large sets of domains "glued" together along boundaries - biological cells meet along cell membranes, soap bubbles meet along thin films, countries meet along geopolitical boundaries, and metallic crystals meet along grain interfaces.

This research describes the invention of a new method to color the surface of stainless steel with brown to blue hues at micron resolution using a low‐power laser. This method is safer and lower cost than previous methods. The study determines that the main coloring compound is chromium oxide.
