Geological and Isotopic Constraints on the Metallogenic Evolution of the Proterozoic Sediment-Hosted Pb-Zn (Ag) Deposits of Brazil [PDF]

open access: yesGondwana Research, 1999
Abstract Integrated studies of seven Proterozoic sediment-hosted, Pb-Zn-Ag sulfide deposits of Brazil, permit the estimation of the age of the hosting sequence and the mineralization, the nature of the sulfur and metal sources, the temperature range of sulfide formation and the environment of deposition.

Trace Elements and Sulfur Isotopes of Sulfides at the Leon Sediment‐Hosted Gold Deposit, Ratatotok District, North Sulawesi, Indonesia: Constraints on the Genesis of Ore Formation

open access: yesResource Geology, Volume 76, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
The Leon deposit is interpreted as a sediment‐hosted gold deposit with a probable distal intrusion‐centered setting. Hydrothermal fluids migrated through fractures and bedding planes, likely leached sulfur and metals from andesitic rocks, and formed orebodies along bedding planes and at limestone–andesite contacts controlled by permeability contrasts ...

Diagenetic-metallogenic ages of pyritic cherts and their implications in Mojiang nickel-gold deposit in Yunnan Province, China

open access: yesChinese Science Bulletin, 2001
Diagenetic-metallogenic ages of pyritic cherts formed by the syn-sedimentation of hydrothermal vent and ages of the Jinchang Rock Formation in the Mojiang large nickel-gold deposit in the Ailaoshan gold metallogenic belt have been discussed on the basis of chronology of isotopic geochemistry. Nickel-gold-bearing pyritic cherts in the mining were formed

Hematite Formation During Skarn Mineralization in the Akatani Iron Deposit, Niigata Prefecture, Japan

open access: yesResource Geology, Volume 76, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
The Akatani Fe deposit in NE Japan has been regarded as a skarn deposit because iron‐oxide ores occur within marble‐hosted skarn near the Cretaceous Ninoujidake granite. U–Pb dating of fluorapatite in the skarn indicates that this skarn formed in the Late Cretaceous, contemporaneous with the granite.

Mechanism of Deep Brine Potash Enrichment in the Damenkou Area, Qaidam Basin, by Tectonic‐Sedimentary Coupling

open access: yesGeofluids, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
In recent years, the Damenkou Area in the Qaidam Basin has been identified as an important area for deep‐brine potash resource exploration. Previous studies on the origin of the deep basin brine have mostly focused on known mining areas. However, there is still a lack of understanding of how tectonics and sedimentation jointly control K+ enrichment in ...

Tectonic Framework of the Arenópolis and Anicuns‐Itaberaí Segments of the Goiás Magmatic Arc Based on 3D Magnetotelluric Inversion

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, Volume 26, Issue 12, December 2025.
Abstract The Goiás Magmatic Arc (GMA) is a Neoproterozoic juvenile terrain formed through oceanic‐oceanic and oceanic‐continental subduction. It comprises three main segments: Mara Rosa, Anicuns‐Itaberaí (GMAAI), and Arenópolis (GMAA), whose tectonic evolution and connectivity remain uncertain.

Detrital Zircon U-Pb Geochronology of the Dazhuyuan Formation in Northern Guizhou: Implications for Bauxite Mineralization

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2013
The Late Carboniferous Dazhuyuan Formation, an important bauxite bearing bed, lies along the Northern Guizhou-Southern Chongqing formation. For tracing the material source of the bauxite, U-Pb dates on detrital zircon of aluminous from Dazhuyuan bauxite ...

Petrogenesis of the Late Ordovician Penggongmiao biotite monzogranite in southern Hunan, south China: constraints from geochronology, geochemistry, and Sr–Nd–Hf isotopes

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science
The Penggongmiao complex pluton, located in the Nanling metallogenic belt of South China, provides a critical record of Early Paleozoic (Caledonian) magmatism, but the genesis and mineralization potential of the biotite monzogranite of the pluton have ...
