Multi‐Scale Engineering of Photonic Meta‐Structures With Emergent Optical Resonances via Colloidal Crystal Engineering With DNA and Microwell Templates

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
This work presents a bottom‐up strategy for forming meta‐structures built from DNA‐assembled nanoparticle superlattices, establishing a versatile platform for multiscale photonic materials design. Confinement stabilizes non‐equilibrium crystal habits and enables geometry and mode control independent of lattice symmetry.

Investigating Fracture Behavior of Lattice Structures Using the XFEM and Equivalent Solid Material Model Techniques

open access: yesFatigue &Fracture of Engineering Materials &Structures, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study aims to numerically investigate the mode I, II, and III fracture behaviors of additively manufactured degradable, bioplastic polylactic acid (PLA) lattice specimens. Numerical simulations were performed using the eXtended Finite Element Method (XFEM) based on the extracted PLA's mechanical and fracture material properties.

A Natural Plant‐Based Binder With Extremely Low Usage for Stabilizing Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesEcoMat, Volume 8, Issue 9, September 2026.
Broussonetia papyrifera gum (BP) with abundant polyphenols, polysaccharides, and proteins serves as a sustainable and environmentally friendly binder in lithium‐sulfur batteries (LSBs) for the first time, capable of effectively adsorbing polysulfides and providing strong bonding performance, which is beneficial for improving the cycling performance ...
