Design patterns for metamodels [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the compilation of the co-located workshops on DSM'11, TMC'11, AGERE! 2011, AOOPES'11, NEAT'11, & VMIL'11, 2011
A metamodel is used to define the abstract syntax (i.e., entities, attributes, and relations) of a Domain-Specific Modeling Language (DSML). In addition, a metamodel also defines constraints and static semantics that provide additional information about the modeling language beyond the abstract syntax.

Probabilistic Estimation Plastic Properties of Alloy 600 From Spherical Indentation Using Surrogate‐Assisted Bayesian Inference Inverse Approach

open access: yesScience and Technology of Nuclear Installations, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Alloy 600, a nickel‐based material, is widely used in steam generator tubing and penetration nozzles of pressurized water reactors (PWRs) due to its exceptional corrosion resistance and excellent mechanical properties under high‐temperature and high‐pressure water conditions.

Optimising Convolutional Neural Networks to Predict the Hygrothermal Performance of Building Components

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
Performing numerous simulations of a building component, for example to assess its hygrothermal performance with consideration of multiple uncertain input parameters, can easily become computationally inhibitive.

Statistical Models for Infrasonic Propagation: Application to the Detection Capability of the Global IMS Network

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, Volume 130, Issue 24, 28 December 2025.
Abstract The detection capability of the global infrasound International Monitoring System (IMS) deployed to monitor compliance with the Comprehensive Nuclear‐Test‐Ban Treaty is highly variable in space and time. Previous studies estimated the source energy of near‐surface explosions from remote observations using empirical yield‐scaling relations ...

On the Use of Knowledge‐Informed Machine Learning and Multisource Data for Spatially Explicit Estimation of Irrigation Water Withdrawal

open access: yesEarth's Future, Volume 13, Issue 12, December 2025.
Abstract Irrigation plays a crucial role in the earth system, yet our understanding of irrigation water withdrawal (IWW) remains limited due to the scarcity of spatially explicit data. While process‐based models and remote sensing can bridge this data gap, their estimates often fail to capture real IWW and are associated with large uncertainties. Here,

Microstructural‐based elastic property analysis in polymer nanocomposites via a fully convolutional semantic segmentation and meta‐modeling approaches

open access: yesPolymer Composites, Volume 46, Issue S3, Page S943-S957, 10 October 2025.
Automated Nanoparticle Recognition and Isolation for Quantitative Analysis using Fully Convolutional Networks. Abstract Silver (Ag) nanoparticles enhance conductivity in composite structures, offering a lightweight solution for solar panels. However, adequate rigidity is essential for withstanding mechanical and thermal stresses.

Experimental, Statistical, and ANN Analysis of Solid and Circular Perforated Fins Array Under Forced Convection

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 7, Issue 10, October 2025.
The study compares forced convection heat transfer between rectangular solid fins and circular perforated fin arrays, considering variables such as fin spacing, perforation diameter, number of perforations, air velocity, and voltage. Experiments were conducted using aluminum fins, and the Nusselt number was calculated for each configuration ...

Analysis of inductive power transfer systems by metamodeling techniques

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Physique
This paper presents some metamodeling techniques to analyze the variability of the performances of an inductive power transfer (IPT) system, considering the sources of uncertainty (misalignment between the coils, the variation in air gap, and the ...
