Intelligent metasearch engine for knowledge management
The explosive growth of available information sources and the resulting information overload pose several problems for users in many business organizations and educational institutions. First, searching through several information sources, one at a time, is a source of enormous frustration for users.

A Metasearch Engine with Automatic Resource Binding Ability
Metasearch has been proved to be a quite effective method to integrate information spaces provided by underlying search engines. But how to admit new resources dynamically was almost neglected. Current solutions include software recoding or resource rebinding by metasearch engine developers.

Myriad- a Novel User Feedback Based Metasearch Engine
Metasearch engine is a system that provides unified access to multiple existing search engines. After the results returned from all used component search engines are collected, the metasearch system merges the results into a single ranked list which is expected to be better than the results of the best of the participating search systems.

A Fuzzy Search Engine Weighted Approach to Result Merging for Metasearch
Each search engine queried by a metasearch engine returns results in the form of a result list of documents. The key issue is to combine these lists to achieve the best performance. The salient contribution of this paper is a result merging model that applies Yager's fuzzy aggregation Ordered Weight Average, OWA, operator in combination with the ...

Towards automatic incorporation of search engines into a large-scale metasearch engine
A metasearch engine supports unified access to multiple component search engines. To build a very large-scale metasearch engine that can access up to hundreds of thousands of component search engines, one major challenge is to incorporate large numbers of autonomous search engines in a highly effective manner.

An Intelligent Metasearch Engine with Link Prediction and Page Clipping Generation Capabilities
This chapter presents an intelligent metasearch engine that can recommend a user’s next hyperlink access and relevant paragraphs extracted from metasearch results. The proposed design is based on the primacy effect of browsing behavior, that users prefer top ranking items in search results. Three search methods were implemented in this engine.

Concept Similarity and Cosine Similarity Result Merging Approaches in Metasearch Engine
Metasearch engines provide a uniform query interface for Internet users to search for information. Depending on users need, they select relevant sources and map user queries into the target search engines, subsequently merging the results. In this paper, we have proposed a metasearch engine, which have two unique steps (1) searching through surface and
