Neoarchean Arc Magmatism and Crust Recycling in the Northern Marginal Zone of the Limpopo Complex, Zimbabwe: New Insights From Zircon U‐Pb‐Hf Isotopes of a Charnockite Suite

open access: yesGeological Journal, Volume 61, Issue 3, Page 566-592, March 2026.
Charnockites with 2691–2607 Ma magmatic ages from the NMZ show arc‐magmatic geochemical signatures. They correspond to the lower‐crustal equivalent of the Chilimanzi Suite Granite in the Zimbabwe Craton. Lu‐Hf isotopic data of magmatic zircons show negative εHf(t) values (−11.18 to −2.20) with TDMC ages of 3699–3158 Ma, suggesting their protolith ...

Metasomatism and graphite formation at a lithological interface in Malaspina (Alpine Corsica, France)

open access: yes, 2013
International audienceMultiple pieces of geologic evidence suggest that interfaces between contrasted lithologies exert a strong control on the fate of volatiles in subduction zones.

Uranium Minerals in the Radlovac Series Metasediments at Mt. Papuk, Croatia

open access: yesGeologia Croatica, 2007
Applying a combination of different methods – X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, gamma-spectroscopy and X-ray spectroscopy, a suite of uranium minerals, meta-torbernite, meta-uranospinite and meta-zeunerite was identified in metasediments of the Radlovac series at the Mt. Papuk area, Croatia. The accessory minerals galenaa, zircon, rutile,

Global Comparison of Aqueous Geochemistry and Dissolved H2/CH4 in Continental Low Temperature Serpentinization–Influenced Environments

open access: yesHydrological Processes, Volume 40, Issue 3, March 2026.
Conceptual diagram of hydrological and geochemical processes within the Santa Elena Ophiolite, Costa Rica. It highlights watershed cross‐sections, soil genesis, hyperalkaline Type II waters (pH > 11.6) with calcite crust and trapped H2/CH4 gases, seepage into surface waters, storm‐impacted stream profiles, weathered vs.

Metamorphic study of metasediment from the Kangilinaaq Peninsula, West Greenland

open access: yes, 2005
The Nagssugtoqidian Orogen is represented by an approximately 300 km wide Palaeoproterozoic deformation and metamorphic belt that stretch through the southern and middle parts of west Greenland.

Seismic Stratigraphy of Eocene–Recent Mixed Depositional Systems on the SE New Zealand Continental Margin, Great South Basin

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Geology and Geophysics, Volume 69, Issue 1, March 2026.
The continental margin of SE New Zealand is strongly influenced by the Southland Current and associated water masses. This new seismic stratigraphic study of the margin has revealed a range of depositional mounds and erosional channels that document the close interaction of turbidity and bottom currents in shaping the margin from the Mid‐Eocene onward.

Eocene Tectonic Change in the South Pacific Caused Exhumation of the Transantarctic Mountains in Northern Victoria Land, Antarctica

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Geology and Geophysics, Volume 69, Issue 1, March 2026.
Apatite fission‐track and (U‐Th)/He data indicate rapid exhumation of northern Victoria Land at 40–30 Ma, correlating with opening of Adare Trough at 43–28 Ma. Exhumation was greatest close to the Ross Sea, consistent with other regions of the Transantarctic Mountains.

Geochemically unravelling the sedimentary components of Archaean metasediments from Western Australia

open access: yes, 1996
Major and trace elements of metasediments of the granulite facies Narryer and the amphibolite facies Jack Hills metasediments have been used to devise plots which enable the original sedimentary components of these rocks to be unravelled, despite their ...

On the presence of pre-Carboniferous metasediments in the Eastern Belt: A structural view [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Geological Society of Malaysia, 2006
The geological map of Peninsular Malaysia shows that the oldest rocks formation in the Eastern Belt is Carboniferous in age and consist of mainly clastic sedimentary rocks. The rocks had been subjected to low grade regional metamorphism to become metaquartzite and phyllite and generally known as metasediments.
