Geological structure and perspectives for mineralization of the Kichany structure, Tiksheozersky greenstone belt (Northern Karelia)

open access: yesЛитосфера, 2017
Mineral deposits in the Neoarchean greenstone belts in the Fennoscandian Shield, especially in its eastern (Russian) part, are not as numerous as in Archean belts of Canada, Australia, or Southern Africa.

Nature and origin of fluids in granulite facies metamorphism [PDF]

open access: yes
The various models for the nature and origin of fluids in granulite facies metamorphism were summarized. Field and petrologic evidence exists for both fluid-absent and fluid-present deep crustal metamorphism.

Metasomatic alteration of dolerite in the Proterozoic sediments of north-eastern Disko Bugt

open access: yesRapport Grønlands Geologiske Undersøgelse, 1991
Alteration of a dolerite sheet along quartz-carbonate veins resulted in profound changes in its chemical composition. Per 1000 kg of the original dolerite 135 kg of volatiles, 38 kg of Na2O and 23 kg of CaO were added, and 76 kg of FeO* (total iron expressed as FeO) and 8 kg of K2O were removed.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE UNIQUE Y-HREE-F-RICH PEGMATITE SYSTEM REVEALED BY ZIRCON GEOCHEMISTRY: A CASE STUDY FROM MT. PLOSKAYA AMAZONITE DEPOSIT, KOLA PENINSULA [PDF]

open access: yesМинералогия
An amazonite-quartz-albite pegmatite body of the Mt. Ploskaya intrudes a metavolcanic complex of the Keivy Terrane (Kola Peninsula) and is unique in its diversity and an assemblage of ore and accessory Y-Yb-Ta-Nb-Be-Pb-F mineralization.

Metasomatism in the Ultrahigh-pressure Svartberget Garnet-peridotite (Western Gneiss Region, Norway): Implications for the Transport of Crust-derived Fluids within the Mantle [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Garnet-peridotites often contain veins or layers of pyroxenite and eclogite of uncertain origin. We investigate the Svartberget garnet-peridotite from the northernmost ultrahigh-pressure domain in the Western Gneiss Region (WGR) in Norway and show that ...

Multitemporal and geobotanical approach in the remote detection of Greisenization areas in the Serra da Pedra Branca Granite, Goias State, Brazil [PDF]

open access: yes
A multiseasonal analysis of LANDSAT multispectral images in CCT format permitted the mapping of lithologic facies in the Pedra Branca Granite, using geobotanical associations, which occur in the form of variations in the density of the cerrado vegetation,

Discovery of a New Cl-Rich Silicate Mineral, Ca_(12)(Al_2Mg_3Si_7)O_(32)Cl_6: An Alteration Phase in Allende [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
During a nanomineralogy investigation of the Allende CV3 carbonaceous chondrite, a new silicate mineral, Ca_(12)(Al_4Mg_3Si_7)O_(32)Cl_6 with the I 4 3d wadalite structure, was identified in the Type B1 Ca-Al-rich inclusion (CAI) Egg-3.

The common origin and alteration history of the hypabyssal and volcanic phases of the Wadi Tarr albitite complex, southern Sinai, Egypt [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
New data and interpretations are presented for the igneous albitites of the Wadi Tarr area, southern Sinai, Egypt. The albitite masses are isolated in outcrop from any granitic intrusions and have intrusive contacts against the country rocks without any ...

Discovery of a New Garnet Mineral, Ca_3Ti_2(SiAl_2)O_(12): An Alteration Phase in Allende [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
During a nanomineralogy investigation of the Allende CV3 carbonaceous chondrite, a new Ti-rich silicate, Ca_3Ti_2(SiAl_2)O_(12) with the Ia-3d garnet structure, was identified in the Type B1 Ca,Al-rich inclusion (CAI) Egg-3.
