3D Large‐Scale Subwavelength‐Resolution Sound Sheet Tomography Based on an Active and Programmable Circular Meta‐Array

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A programmable 2048‐element circular ultrasound array combined with a compact acoustic lens produces a thin “sound sheet” over a large field of view, and records echoes with wide angular diversity across the ring aperture. Coherence‐enhanced beamforming converts full‐matrix data into high‐contrast tomographic slices, delivering near‐diffraction‐limited

Inverse Designed Plasmonic Metasurface with ppb Optical Hydrogen Detection

open access: yes, 2022
Plasmonic sensors rely on optical resonances in metal nanoparticles and are typically limited by their broad spectral features. This constraint is particularly taxing for optical H2 sensors, in which hydrogen is absorbed inside optically-lossy Pd ...

Study of Free‐Space Optical Quantum Network: Review and Prospectives

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Free from the constraints of fiber connections, free‐space quantum network enables longer and more flexible quantum network connections. This review summarizes and comparatively analyzes free‐space quantum network experiments based on ground stations, satellites, and mobile platforms.

Nonreciprocal Nongyrotropic Magnetless Metasurface

open access: yes, 2017
We introduce a nonreciprocal nongyrotropic magnetless metasurface. In contrast to previous nonreciprocal structures, this metasurface does not require a biasing magnet, and is therefore lightweight and amenable to integrated circuit fabrication. Moreover,

High‐Power Terahertz Emission from Picosecond Nano‐Plasma Switching Driven by Secondary Electron Emission Avalanche

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A nano‐plasma device enables watt‐level on‐chip THz generation through picosecond switching triggered by secondary electron emission avalanche. An ultra‐dense electron sheet initiates nano‐plasma formation within a ∼100 nm gap, driving rapid energy release into an integrated resonator.

Hyperbolic Shear Metasurfaces

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters
Polar dielectrics with low crystal symmetry and sharp phonon resonances can support hyperbolic shear polaritons - highly confined surface modes with frequency-dependent optical axes and asymmetric dissipation features. So far, these modes have been observed only in bulk natural materials at mid-infrared frequencies, with properties limited by available

Tunable Water-based Microwave Metasurface

open access: yes, 2017
A water-based dynamically tunable microwave metasurface is developed and experimentally investigated. A simple approach to tune the metasurface properties by changing the shape of water-based unit cells by gravitation force is proposed.

A Dual‐Channel Synergistic Ultrasensitive Biosensor for Tumor Liquid Biopsy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Liquid biopsy technology, which detects circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in cerebrospinal fluid, plays a crucial role in the early diagnosis and precision treatment of gliomas. However, the intrinsically low abundance and rapid clearance of ctDNA pose substantial challenges for conventional analytical techniques, such as droplet digital PCR and ...

Reconfigurable metasurface design via coplanar self-biasing structure

open access: yesResults in Physics
Reconfigurable metasurface enriches the functional integrated design into the originally limited space. Electrical control, through the external power supply to control the electromagnetic response control, is a common and simple control method. However,
