Self‐Assembling Cracks to Fabricate Antireflective Antifogging Metasurfaces

Advanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A multifunctional optical device combining antireflective and photothermal antifogging properties is developed by leveraging crack formation in colloidal films. Plasmonic nanoparticle arrays enable localized heating under illumination, while a mesoporous silica coating provides antireflection and water repellency.

Femtosecond Pulse Shaping with Semiconductor Huygens' Metasurfaces

Spatially variant silicon Huygens' metasurfaces enable femtosecond pulse shaping by tailoring the spectral phase and amplitude of incident pulses. Two key functionalities are demonstrated: temporal stretching and pulse splitting of an input Gaussian pulse.

In Vivo Brain B₁ ⁺ Inhomogeneity Correction and NOE Image Enhancement at 7 T via Flexible Metasurfaces. [PDF]

Metasurfaces were utilized to improve in vivo brain B1+ inhomogeneity at 7 T and enhance NOE imaging and multipool Z‐spectra fitting. A simple optical programming technique is developed for fabricating plasmonic nanoantennas in a dual‐layer metasurface by crystallizing the plasmonic phase‐change material In3SbTe2 from the top and through the substrate with a subsequent reamorphization step.
