Enhancing MXene Multipolar Resonances Through Metasurface Lattice Engineering

open access: yesNano Select, EarlyView.
We explore multipolar resonances across the visible and infrared spectra, demonstrating their control via lattice effects and tailored scattering elements within the MXene metasurface. We show that periodic lattice arrays enable strong localized resonances driven by the collective behavior of individual nanoresonators, and we show effective control ...

Anisotropic Optical Response of Gold–Silver Alloys

open access: yesphysica status solidi (RRL) – Rapid Research Letters, EarlyView.
First‐principles simulations of special quasirandom structures reveal an anisotropic optical response in silver–gold alloys within the near‐infrared range. By analyzing 4‐, 32‐, and 108‐atom cells, the role of short‐range correlations and orbital hybridization is uncovered, providing insights for advanced plasmonic and photonic device engineering.

Tailored Growth of Transition Metal Dichalcogenides’ Monolayers by Chemical Vapor Deposition

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Here, results on the tailored growth of various 2D semiconductors’ monolayers of transition metal dichalcogenides are presented using chemical vapor deposition techniques. Basic electronic, photonic and optoelectronic properties of the grown quantum materials are studied by high‐resolution microscopy and spectroscopy techniques and are analyzed for ...

Dipole Determination by Polarimetric Spectroscopy Yielding the Orientation of Gold Nanorods

open access: yesSmall Science, EarlyView.
An all‐spectroscopic method is established to extract the azimuthal orientation of electric dipoles excited within gold nanorods of various aspect ratios. By using an analytical dipole model in combination with polarimetric measurements that analyze the interplay between the structure's eigenmodes, an excellent orientation precision of ±2.45° is ...
