Lidar investigations of M-zone [PDF]
The creation of pulse dye lasers tuned to resonant line of meteor produced admixtures of atmospheric constituents has made it possible to begin lidar investigations of the vertical distribution of mesospheric sodium concentration and its dynamics in the ...

Microbial Endolithic Community at Meteor Crater
Abstract Postimpact recovery and evolution in response to climate changes produced a modern ecosystem at Meteor Crater dominated by a grassland and woodland of piñon and juniper, which has been used to evaluate floral and megafaunal consequences of impact cratering during the Phanerozoic Eon of complex life.

Spectral analysis of a high-velocity meteor [PDF]
A spectrogram of a fast optical meteor was reduced and analyzed, and 60 features were identified in the spectrum. Air and ionized elements in this meteor radiate throughout the spectrum from 3000 A to 6800 A.

CI chondrite Oued Chebeika 002 links asteroids Bennu and Ryugu to common parent body
Abstract CI chondrites are a compositionally primitive group of meteorites that have undergone extensive aqueous alteration, providing insights into the evolution of primitive planetesimals. Oued Chebeika 002 is the most pristine CI chondrite to date.

Effects of Meteor-Impacts on Stationary Satellites
. In this paper the changes of the orbital elements of stationary satellites due to meteor-impacts are discussed. From these changes in principle one should be able to draw the conclusion whether or not there exist a correlation between meteor-mass and ...

Models of sporadic meteor body distributions [PDF]
The distribution of orbital elements and flux density over the celestial sphere are the most common forms of representation of the meteor body distribution in the vicinity of the Earth's orbit.

Ryugu Reference Project: Recommendations from the Measurement Definition Team
Abstract Sample return missions play a significant role in planetary science by providing pristine extraterrestrial materials. JAXA's Hayabusa2 and NASA's OSIRIS‐REx missions have returned samples from the C‐type asteroids Ryugu and Bennu, respectively. The chemical and mineralogical compositions of these samples closely resemble those of CI chondrites,

Geophysical investigation of the Santa Marta impact structure—Piauí State, Brazil
Abstract The Santa Marta impact structure in northeastern Brazil, recognized as a partially preserved complex crater, was investigated through an integrated geophysical study employing magnetotelluric (MT) and gravity methods. Our research provides constraints on the crater's subsurface architecture.

Physical and dynamical studies of meteors. Meteor-fragmentation and stream-distribution studies [PDF]
Population parameters of 275 streams including 20 additional streams in the synoptic-year sample were found by a computer technique. Some 16 percent of the sample is in these streams.
