Global variation of meteor trail plasma turbulence [PDF]
We present the first global simulations on the occurrence of meteor trail plasma irregularities. These results seek to answer the following questions: when a meteoroid disintegrates in the atmosphere, will the resulting trail become plasma turbulent ...

On the validity of the ambipolar diffusion assumption in the polar mesopause region [PDF]
The decay of underdense meteor trails in the polar mesopause region is thought to be predominantly due to ambipolar diffusion, a process governed by the ambient temperature and pressure.

Atmospheric Profile Imprint in Firewall Ablation Coefficient [PDF]
A general formula which expresses the distance along the meteoric fireball trajectory 1 as a function of t is discussed. Differential equations which include the motion and ablation of a single nonfragmenting meteor body are presented.

Quasi‐BIC and Reflective Mode Coupling Drives SHG Beyond the Q Factor Limit
An analytical expression is developed to relate second‐harmonic generation to both the resonance Q factor and absorptance. Simulations and experiments on a dual‐resonance 3R‐MoS2 metasurface validate the formula, showing that absorptance engineering provides an effective route to enhance SHG beyond conventional Q‐only design.

The Gender of Fossil Fuels: Oil and Domestic Perils in Mandate Palestine
ABSTRACT This article explores the gender dynamics behind the rise of kerosene – an oil derivative – as the main domestic fuel in Mandate Palestine. It argues that these dynamics were constitutive in determining who began to use oil, where and for what purposes, in turn demonstrating that women in Palestine were the promoters and targets of a campaign ...

This study provides the first isotopic analysis of Oligocene mammals from Quebrada Fiera, Mendoza, Argentina, filling a major gap in South American paleontology. It reveals a latitudinal gradient in aridity due to the Andean rain shadow and highlights the role of (semi)permanent water bodies in sustaining diverse herbivore communities. Additionally, it
