Meteorites explained: what is a meteorite?

Geology Today, 2021
Meteorites are natural lumps of rock and/or metal that fall to Earth from Space. Most meteorites are from the Asteroid Belt, with a few from the Moon or from Mars, but their ultimate origins extend more widely through the Solar System. Photometry of meteorites

Icarus, 2012
Abstract We have measured the bi-directional reflectance phase function on selected meteorite samples (1 howardite, 1 eucrite, 1 diogenite, Orgeuil (CI), Tagish Lake (CC), Allende (CV), Lunar meteorite (MAC 88105), Forest Vale (H4)) covering part of the geochemical and petrologic diversity expected for asteroid surfaces.

Structure of Meteorites

Nature, 1939
Prof. E. A. Owen and R. W. Williams1 have recently advanced a theory in which they account for the Widmanstatten figures in meteorites on the basis of their X-ray studies of iron-nickel alloys, natural and artificial. Their conclusions have been criticized by Prof. S. W. J. Smith and J.
