Isotopic composition of germanium in meteorites
Journal of Geophysical Research, 1963The isotopic composition of germanium in eight meteorites was measured by solid-source mass spectrometer and compared with a sample of terrestrial origin. No difference in the isotopic composition of germanium from meteorites and the terrestrial sample was found outside of the error. (auth)

Origin, age, and composition of meteorites
Space Science Reviews, 1964This paper attempts to bring together and evaluate all significant evidence on the origin of meteorites. The iron meteorites seem to have formed at low pressures. Laboratory evidence shows that the absence of a Widmanstatten pattern in meteorites with > 16% Ni cannot be attributed to high pressures, but to supercooling or an unusually fast cooling rate

THE CHEMICAL COMPOSITION AND CLASSIFICATION OF THE KAROONDA METEORITE
Meteoritics, 1979New bulk compositional results are presented for the Karoonda meteorite which show that it is a member of the Vigarano type carbonaceous chondrites. Use of the petrographic symbol CK for Karoonda is shown to be unnecessary and inadvisable.

The isotopic composition of rocks of the earth and of meteorites
Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta, 1958The results of a comparative study of the isotopic composition of the cosmic materials accessible to direct investigation, of the deep igneous rocks of the earth, and of the stony and iron meteorites are discussed. (J.E.D.)

The isotopic composition of silver in iron meteorites
Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta, 1962Abstract Microgram quantities of silver were extracted from the troilite of Toluca iron meteorite and the metal phases of Sikhote Alin and Canyon Diablo meteorites using anion-exchange techniques. Isotopic analysis of silver in iron meteorites indicates a 2–3 per cent higher Ag 107 Ag 109 ratio relative to the terrestrial silver.

Isotopic Composition of Silver in an Iron Meteorite
Physical Review Letters, 1960The isotopic composition of silver in the troilite of the Toluca iron meteorite was determined mass spectrometrically and the Ag/sup 107//Ag/sup 109/ ratio found to be 1.097 plus or minus corresponding to a Ag/sup 107/ enrichment of approximately 2% relative to terrestrial silver. The excess Ag/sup 107/ result is discussed in terms of Pd/sup 107/ decay,

The mineralogical composition and structure of the Assisi meteorite
Mineralogical Magazine and Journal of the Mineralogical Society, 1967SummaryThe principal data about the fall and the distribution of the fragments of the Assisi (Perugia, Italy) meteorite are collected. A fragment of the stone, weighing 146·5 g, preserved in the British Museum (Natural History) (B.M. 63621), is described in some detail. Crust morphology, mineralogical composition, and structure are studied.
