Determination of meteoroid physical properties from tristatic radar observations [PDF]
In this work we give a review of the meteor head echo observations carried out with the tristatic 930 MHz EISCAT UHF radar system during four 24 h runs between 2002 and 2005 and compare these with earlier observations.

Robotic Systems for Meteor Observing and Moon Impact Flashes Detection in Spain
A robotic observatory has been setup in the south-west of Spain with the aim to study meteoroids interacting with the Earth's atmosphere and meteoroids impacting on the Moon's surface.

Global Monitoring and Characterization of Infrasound Signatures by Large Fireballs
Large meteoroids can be registered in infrasound recordings during their entry into the Earth’s atmosphere. A comprehensive study of 10 large fireball events of the years 2018 and 2019 highlights their detection and characterization using global ...

Meteoroids entering the Earth's atmosphere lose most of their mass during atmospheric passage and considerably disturb the background ionosphere. To elucidate better the effects of meteoroids on the near-Earth space environment, it is important to ...

Combining dynamical models of dust from Jupiter Family Comets and Halley-type Comets, we demonstrate that the seasonal variation of the dust/meteoroid environment at Mercury is responsible for producing the dawn-dusk asymmetry in Mercury's exosphere ...

Mass Loss Due to Sputtering and Thermal Processes in Meteoroid Ablation
Conventional meteoroid theory assumes that the dominant mode of ablation is by evaporation following intense heating during atmospheric flight. In this paper we consider the question of whether sputtering may provide an alternative disintegration process

Meteoroid structure and fragmentation [PDF]
The physical composition and structure of meteoroids gives us insight into the formation processes of their parent asteroids and comets. The strength of and fundamental grain sizes in meteoroids tell us about the environment in which small solar system bodies formed, and the processes which built up these basic planetary building blocks.

Modeling the 2022 τ-Herculid Outburst
The τ -Herculids (IAU shower number 61 TAH) is a minor meteor shower associated with comet 73P/Schwassmann–Wachmann 3, a Jupiter-family comet that disintegrated into several fragments in 1995.

The collisional evolution of undifferentiated asteroids and the formation of chondritic meteoroids [PDF]
Most meteorites are fragments from recent collisions experienced in the asteroid belt. In such a hyper-velocity collision, the smaller collision partner is destroyed, whereas a crater on the asteroid is formed or it is entirely disrupted, too.
