Meteorological data and meteorological changes
Eos, Transactions American Geophysical Union, 1929This report deals with climatic changes as read from the geologic record which shows among other, things that the Earth has undergone at irregular intervals measured by thousands of years wide‐spread glaciation with its attendant lowering of temperature and the destruction of all forms of life in the regions of most intense glaciation.

Visualizing Meteorological Data
Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society, 1990Abstract The extensive growth in meteorological data over the last several decades is imposing severe strains on the meteorologist's ability to fully exploit the data's ultimate value within the time constraints of forecasting operations. Fortunately, the price/performance ratio of the hardware destined to graphically display these datasets is ...

Interpretable Machine Learning for Meteorological Data
2021 The 5th International Conference on Machine Learning and Soft Computing, 2021Weather forecasting is the task to predict the state of the atmosphere in a given location. In the past, the weather forecast has been done through physical models of the atmosphere as a fluid. It becomes the problem of solving sophisticated equations of fluid dynamics.

Lunar tides in meteorological data*
Quarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, 1975AbstractLong series of observations of atmospheric pressure and temperature at Naples and other Italian stations are analysed by various methods to determine the variations due to the moon's tidal influence. It is shown that the main lunar tide in atmospheric pressure varies also with solar time, having a larger amplitude by day than by night.

Research on Meteorological Data Simulation
2018This paper proceeded with simulating the meteorological data. Based on the meteorological data that has been collected, this paper puts forward the simulation method where the meteorological data can be classified into discrete data and continuous data which can be simulated respectively.

Visualization of scattered meteorological data
IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications, 1995Considers how rain-gauge data, scattered in two dimensions, aid the study of El Nino-caused rainstorms in normally arid coastal Peru. Continuous realization techniques can extract qualitative information from the data. The techniques described were developed with IBM Visualization Data Explorer, a general-purpose software package for scientific data ...
