Hydrolysis of methacrylic acid–methyl methacrylate copolymers
Journal of Polymer Science, 1959AbstractSeveral copolymers of methacrylic acid and methyl methacrylate have been prepared with acid contents of 28.8, 50, 60, 66, 72, 83, and 86.5%; they have been hydrolyzed in acidic medium at 110°C. at different neutralization ratios r = [HA]/[A‐].

Copolymerization of methyl methacrylate and urethane methacrylate—II
European Polymer Journal, 1992Abstract A methacrylate monomer (MAUN) having a pendant urethane linkage was prepared by reacting tolylene diisocyanate (TDI), 2-naphthol and 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA). Photopolymerization in the absence of photosensitizer in the temperature range 32 to 62° was investigated using differential photocalorimetry.

Radical Copolymerization of Fluoroalkyl Methacrylates with Methyl Methacrylate
Russian Journal of Applied Chemistry, 2005Lauryl peroxide initiated radical copolymerization of 1,1,3-trihydroperfluoropropyl methacrylate and 1,1,5-trihydroperfluoroamyl methacrylate with methyl methacrylate was studied. The kinetic parameters of copolymerization for these systems were determined at low degrees of conversion.

Copolymerizations of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate with alkyl methacrylates
European Polymer Journal, 1979Abstract Copolymerizations of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate with ethyl methacrylate and n -butyl methacrylate were studied in bulk at temperatures between 60 and 80° using benzoyl peroxide as initiator. The monomer reactivity ratios were calculated using Joshi-Joshi, Fineman-Ross and intersection methods.

A study of the copolymerization of hydroxyethyl methacrylate and tetrahydrofurfuryl methacrylate
Journal of Polymer Science Part A: Polymer Chemistry, 1999The free radical copolymerizations of hydroxyethyl methacrylate and tetrahydrofurfuryl methacrylate have been investigated at 50 degrees C. The compositions of polymers prepared at low conversions have been determined using C-13-NMR, and the glass transition temperatures determined by DSC.

Thermodynamic properties of polymethyl methacrylate and methyl methacrylate
Journal of Polymer Science Part A: General Papers, 1963AbstractFrom published data the entropy, enthalpy, and Gibbs free energy of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) have been calculated over the temperature range 0–260°K. These functions have also been calculated for methyl methacrylate over the range 0–210°K. The entropy of polymerization at 210°K. was found to be 9.63 cal./mole°K.

Copolymerization of 2-Hydtoxypropyl Methacrylate with Alkyl Methacrylates
Journal of Macromolecular Science: Part A - Chemistry, 1981Abstract 2-Hydroxypropyl methacrylate (2 HPMA) has been copolym-erized with ethyl methacrylate (EMA), n-butyl methacrylate (BMA), and 2-ethylhexyl methacrylate (EHMA) in bulk at 60°C using benzoyl peroxide as initiator. The copolymer composition has been determined from the hydroxyl content. The reactivity ratios have been calculated by the YBR method.

Copolymerization of N-vinylindole with methyl methacrylate and methacrylic acid
Polymer Science U.S.S.R., 1967TH~ production of new copolymers enabling the properties of previously known homopolymers to be modified has recently been a major aim in the study of polymeric compounds. Information is available in the literature regarding the copolymerization of certain N-vinyl monomers: N-vinylearbazole [1], N-vinyl-laetam [2] and N-vinylphthalimide [3]. However no

The elastic and swelling behavior of copolymers of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, diethylene glycol methacrylate, and methacrylic acid crosslinked with ethylene glycol dimethacrylate has been studied. In the range of copolymer composition studied, Young's modulus of the swollen networks increases with the content of methacrylic acid, and its dependence ...

Preparation of methacrylate monoliths
Journal of Separation Science, 2007AbstractRigid macroporous polymers developed in the early 1990s are widely used as efficient stationary phases for all types of chromatographic separations. The main advantages of so‐called monolithic supports are their high hydraulic permeability and the dominance of the convection over the diffusion mechanism of mass‐exchange under dynamic conditions
