Effect of the zwitterion structure on the thermo-responsive behaviour of poly(sulfobetaine methacrylates)

open access: yes, 2017
A series of new sulfobetaine methacrylates, including nitrogen-containing saturated heterocycles, was synthesised by systematically varying the substituents of the zwitterionic group. Radical polymerisation via the RAFT (reversible addition–fragmentation

New Class of Alkoxyamines for Efficient Controlled Homopolymerization of Methacrylates.

open access: yesACS Macro Letters, 2016
Despite significant efforts, the design of alkoxyamines for polymerization of methacrylic monomers in a well-controlled fashion with good retention of the active chain ends remains a challenge.

Meta-analysis of the clinical behavior of posterior direct resin restorations: Low polymerization shrinkage resin in comparison to methacrylate composite resin. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2018
Polymerization shrinkage of resin composite can compromise the longevity of restorations. To minimize this problem, the monomeric composition of composites have been modified.

The physical studies and interaction with anti-apoptotic proteins of 2-(bis(cyanomethyl)amino)-2-oxoethyl methacrylate molecule [PDF]

open access: yesCondens. Matter Phys., 2019, vol. 22, No. 3, 33301, 2019
In this work 2-(bis(cyanomethyl)amino)-2-oxoethyl methacrylate (CMA2OEM) molecule has been characterized theoretically. First, the potential energy surface has been calculated to find the lowest energy state of the molecule. After the most stable state of the molecule, Mulliken atomic charge and nonlinear-optical properties were investigated.

Development of Novel Photoinitiators as Substitutes of Camphorquinone for the LED Induced Polymerization of Methacrylates: A Bis-Silyl Ketone.

open access: yesMacromolecular rapid communications, 2017
A new photoinitiator based on a bis-silylketone (BSK) structure is proposed as a novel compound leading to highly efficient initiating silyl radicals for the polymerization of methacrylates (e.g., a bisphenol A-glycidyl methacrylate/triethyleneglycol ...

Enhanced analysis of gating latency in 0.35T MR‐linac through innovative time synchronization of a motion phantom and plastic scintillation detector

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose This study aims to evaluate how different gantry angles, breathing rates (BPM), cine image speeds, and tracking algorithms affect beam on/off latency and the subsequent impact on target dose for a 0.35T MR‐Linac with a 6 MV FFF beam.
