Methane Emission Control

open access: yesJohnson Matthey Technology Review, 2016
Natural gas is of increasing interest as an alternative fuel for vehicles and stationary engines that traditionally use gasoline and diesel fuels. Drivers for the adoption of natural gas include high abundance, lower price and reduced greenhouse gas emissions compared to other fossil fuels. Biogas is an option which could reduce such emissions further.

ZrO2 Aerogel‐Supported Pd Nanoparticles for Photothermal CO2 Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nanoparticle‐based aerogels are promising catalysts for photothermal reactions due to optical transparency, high surface area, and low thermal conductivity. Here, we present deposition of Pd nanoparticles on ZrO2 aerogel granules by a wet‐impregnation approach.

Preindustrial to present-day changes in tropospheric hydroxyl radical and methane lifetime from the Atmospheric Chemistry and Climate Model Intercomparison Project (ACCMIP) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We have analysed time-slice simulations from 17 global models, participating in the Atmospheric Chemistry and Climate Model Intercomparison Project (ACCMIP), to explore changes in present-day (2000) hydroxyl radical (OH) concentration and methane (CH4 ...

Research on methane emission characteristics of city gate stations based on field measurements

open access: yes管道保护
This study aims to clarify the methane emission characteristics and influencing factors at city gate stations. Using the High Flow Sampler (Hi-Flow) method, component-level methane emissions were measured on-site at 11 typical city gate stations ...

Emission factors for methane engines on vehicles and ships : with a focus on methane emissions

open access: yes, 2020

Kinetic‐Directed Thermodynamic Repair Enables the Synthesis of High‐Strain 2D Sub‐Stoichiometric COFs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
2D covalent organic frameworks are promising photocatalysts. Yet, precise synthesis of sub‐stoichiometric COFs remains challenging due to poor kinetic control. We propose a general strategy: tuning polymerization degree of kinetic intermediates via time or solvent polarity directs their thermodynamic repair into highly crystallization. Using [4+3]‐type
