ISOTOPIC FRACTIONATION OF GUEST GAS AT THE FORMATION OF METHANE AND ETHANE HYDRATES

open access: yes, 2008
Stable isotope of natural gas hydrates provides useful information of their gas sources. We investigated the isotopic fractionation of gas molecules during the formation of synthetic gas hydrates composed of methane and ethane.

Advanced Operando X‐Ray Absorption Spectroscopy for Catalysis at High Temperature and Pressure: Insights from the French Absorption Spectroscopy Beamline in Material and Environmental Sciences and French Absorption Spectroscopy Beamline in Material and Environmental Sciences at Ultra‐High Dilution Beamlines at European Synchroton Radiation Facility

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, Volume 6, Issue 7, July 2026.
Operando X‐ray emission spectroscopy (XAS) at industrial temperature and pressure is enabled at European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) by BM30 (FAME‐PIX) and BM16 (FAME‐UHD). High‐flux optics, a 16‐element HPGe detector and a 14‐crystal analyzer for high‐energy‐resolution fluorescence detection‐XAS/X‐ray emission spectroscopy (HERFD‐XAS/XES ...

Catalytic Confinement Engineering for CO2 Conversion: From Catalytic Microenvironments to Sustainable Aviation Fuels

open access: yesCarbon Neutralization, Volume 5, Issue 4, July 2026.
Confinement engineering offers a unified strategy for CO2 conversion by regulating local reaction microenvironments around catalytic active sites. This review compares electrochemical CO2 reduction and thermocatalytic CO2 hydrogenation, highlighting how spatial confinement, interfacial electronic regulation, and promoter effects stabilize key ...

Global quantification of methane hydrates

open access: yes, 2013
Large amounts of methane hydrate are thought to be stored in marine sediments. Natural methane hydrate deposits have been found along the world's continental margins as the prevailing low ocean temperatures and high pressures guarantee their stability ...

Synthesis of Carbon Nanotubes From CO2 Enabled by Fe–Mo Bimetallic Catalysts via Effective CO2 Scavenging

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 4, July 2026.
The tandem process involves CO2 methanation and CH4 pyrolysis for CNT synthesis. Unreacted CO2 and H2 from methanation oxidize Fe, suppressing CNT growth on Fe‐only catalysts. Incorporation of Mo into Fe/MgO forms Mo2C, which prevents Fe oxidation under CO2/H2 conditions and thereby enables CNT formation.

Decarbonization of Europe and methane hydrates

open access: yes, 2020
The European Union accepted the ambitious project of decarbonization of economy. The main goal is a 90 percent reduction of CO2 emissions in comparison with 1990 emissions, which will result in the so-called climatic neutrality.

Vitamin‐Responsive Disorders: From Molecular Basis to Clinical Presentation and Therapy

open access: yesJournal of Inherited Metabolic Disease, Volume 49, Issue 4, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Vitamin‐dependent cofactors are essential for numerous metabolic reactions, and defects affecting their uptake, conversion, utilisation, or regeneration constitute a heterogeneous group of inherited metabolic disorders (IMDs). Although dietary vitamin intake is sufficient to sustain coenzyme synthesis in healthy individuals, it is insufficient
