ABSTRACT This research analyses the carbon footprint of the NGO Madre Coraje, using an integrated methodology that combines the calculator provided by REAS (Red de Economía Alternativa y Solidaria) Navarra and the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). It quantifies emissions across the three scopes of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, evaluating both direct and ...

Ethane oxidation by methane-oxidizing bacteria
Antonie van Leeuwenhoek, 1980The relationship between the rates of methane and ethane oxidation by washed suspensions of methane-oxidizing bacteria has been investigated. Considerable differences between bacterial strains were observed. Two closely related Methylomonas strains which differed in their oxidizing capacity were further investigated.

Biocatalytic methane oxidation
Catalysis in Industry, 2009The kinetics of biocatalytic methane oxidation should be known to make use of this process in environmental biotechnology. Here, biocatalytic methane oxidation is described using multisubstrate kinetic models (studies were performed at 30°C). The dependence of the specific growth rate of microorganisms (biomass buildup per unit time divided by the ...
