Impact of Chelation on Reactivity and Cytotoxicity of Hemilabile Biphenyl Gold(III) N‐Heterocyclic Carbene Complexes

open access: yesChemMedChem, EarlyView.
An array of eight pairs of biphenyl gold(III) complexes comprising NHC–pyridine ligands having a hemilabile character in vitro displays antiproliferative activity toward human cells in the low micromolar range which is exclusively due to their neutral open form according to speciation studies.

KnowVolution of an Efficient Polyamidase through Molecular Dynamics Simulations of Incrementally Docked Oligomeric Substrates

open access: yesChemSusChem, EarlyView.
Managing synthetic polymer waste is a major challenge. While enzymatic polyamide (PA) hydrolysis holds great recycling potential, it is limited by ineffective polyamidases. The polyamidase NylCp2‐TS is evolved through random mutagenesis and incremental docking, yielding NylC‐HP with enhanced activity and stability.

Gel Electrophoretic Detection of Black Market ACE‐031

open access: yesDrug Testing and Analysis, EarlyView.
This article presents a study on black market ACE‐031 products and their detection by gel‐electrophoresis and Western blotting. Of the 14 tested products, only 12 contained an ACVR2B‐immunoreactive protein. However, mass spectrometry revealed that the products did not contain the ACVR2B‐Fc fusion protein ACE‐031 but instead the full‐length human ...
