Clinical Insights Into Hypercalcemia of Malignancy in Childhood

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hypercalcemia of malignancy (HCM) is a rare but life‐threatening metabolic emergency in children that occurs in less than 1% of pediatric cancer cases, with a reported incidence ranging from 0.4% to 1.0% across different studies. While it is observed in 10%–20% of adult malignancies, pediatric HCM remains relatively uncommon.

Application of genetic algorithms for optimal positions of source points in the method of fundamental solutions

open access: yesComputer Assisted Methods in Engineering and Science, 2022
This paper describes the application of the method of fundamental solutions for 2-D harmonic and biharmonic problems. Also, genetic algorithm is presented as a numerical procedure used for the determination of source points positions.

Survival Outcomes and Complications Among Canadian Children With Retinoblastoma: A Population‐Based Report From CYP‐C

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Retinoblastoma (RB) is the most common pediatric ocular cancer, yet population‐based data on survival and risk factors remain limited. This study aimed to describe survival in a large national RB cohort and identify predictors of death and complications.

Evaluation of Fifteen Algorithms for the Resolution of the Electrocardiography Imaging Inverse Problem Using ex-vivo and in-silico Data

open access: yesFrontiers in Physiology, 2018
The electrocardiographic imaging inverse problem is ill-posed. Regularization has to be applied to stabilize the problem and solve for a realistic solution. Here, we assess different regularization methods for solving the inverse problem.

Chern-Simons Solitons, Chiral Model, and (affine) Toda Model on Noncommutative Space

open access: yes, 2004
We consider the Dunne-Jackiw-Pi-Trugenberger model of a U(N) Chern-Simons gauge theory coupled to a nonrelativistic complex adjoint matter on noncommutative space.

Personalized Selumetinib Dosing in Pediatric Neurofibromatosis Type 1: Insights From a Pilot Therapeutic Drug Monitoring Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate selumetinib exposure using therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) in pediatric patients with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and plexiform neurofibromas (PN), assess interpatient pharmacokinetic variability, and explore the relationship between drug exposure, clinical response, and adverse effects.

Application of the method of fundamental solutions for inverse problems related to the determination of elasto-plastic properties of prizmatic bar [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The problem of determining the elastoplastic properties of a prismatic bar from the given relation from experiment between torsional moment MT and angle of twist per unit of rod’s length θ is investigated as inverse problem.

H\"older continuity and bounds for fundamental solutions to non-divergence form parabolic equations

open access: yes, 2014
We consider the non-degenerate second-order parabolic partial differential equations of non-divergence form with bounded measurable coefficients (not necessary continuous). Under some assumptions it is known that the fundamental solution to the equations
