ABSTRACT Purpose Malignant rhabdoid tumor of the kidney (MRTK) is a rare, aggressive tumor seen in young children. The optimal timing of resection for locally advanced tumors is not well‐defined. The purpose of this study is to evaluate modern oncologic outcomes and the impact of surgical timing. Methods A multicenter retrospective review was performed

Bipolar coordinates, image method and method of fundamental solutions
Green's functions of Laplace problems with circular boundaries are solved by using three approaches, analytical, semi-analytical and numerical solutions. For the analytical solution, we derive the Green's function by using the bipolar coordinates. Three kinds of semi-analytical solutions using (a). image method, (b).

MYCN Amplification in RB1‐Inactivated Retinoblastoma: Association With High‐Risk Features
ABSTRACT Background MYCN amplification occurs in a subset of retinoblastoma cases, both with and without RB1 inactivation. It has been suggested that retinoblastomas with MYCN amplification represent a distinct entity with more aggressive clinical behavior.

Boundary element method on the basis of Oseen's fundamental solution.
The problem of the steady laminer flow past an arbitrary body is formulated using the boundary element method. First, surface integral equation is derived for the Oseen flow, and then, extended to the Navier-Stokes equations. In the latter case, the repetition of solving the surface integral equation is needed.

ABSTRACT Introduction Adult‐onset Still's disease (AOSD) complicated by macrophage activation syndrome (MAS) carries substantial mortality. The role of therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE) remains uncertain. Methods We retrospectively analyzed patients with AOSD‐MAS treated with TPE at a single‐center.

Trefftz method for large deflection of plates with application of evolutionary algorithms
The large deflection of thin plates by means of Berger equation is considered. An iterative solution of Berger equation by the method of fundamental solutions is proposed.

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

The method of the fundamental solutions and its modifications for electromagnetic field problems
The paper presents the method of fundamental solutions (MFS) for solving electromagnetic problems. We compare the MFS with the method of boundary integral equations in solution of potential problems.

Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...
