Loanwords and Linguistic Phylogenetics: *pelek̑u‐ ‘axe’ and *(H)a(i̯)g̑‐ ‘goat’1

open access: yesTransactions of the Philological Society, Volume 123, Issue 1, Page 116-136, March 2025.
Abstract This paper assesses the role of borrowings in two different approaches to linguistic phylogenetics: Traditional qualitative analyses of lexemes, and quantitative computational analysis of cognacy. It problematises the assumption that loanwords can be excluded altogether from datasets of lexical cognacy.

IMPROVEMENTS TO THE RETRIEVAL OF NO2 COLUMN FOR THE GOME-2 INSTRUMENT [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2018
NO2 is an important trace gas in both the stratosphere and troposphere. Since January 2007, the nadir-looking GOME-2 satellite instrument has been providing NO2 data on a global scale which is of great interest for climate research and atmospheric ...

Endoscopically assessed mucus parameters in equine asthma: Relationship to clinical history and cytological findings data

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Mucus parameters are hallmark diagnostic features of equine asthma (EA). Objectives To investigate the relationship between mucus quantity score and mucus viscosity score with signalment, history, clinical findings and cytological parameters. Study Design Retrospective cross‐sectional study.

Assessing D‐Squame as a Minimally Invasive Technique to Evaluate the Cutaneous Immune Response mRNA in a Dog Model of Canine Atopic Dermatitis

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Canine atopic dermatitis (cAD) is a multifactorial, inherited skin disease, estimated to affect ≤ 15% of dogs. Studies of skin messenger mRNA in cAD currently use invasive methods, including blood sampling and biopsy collection, whilst advances in human atopic dermatitis study methodology have demonstrated reliable use of minimally ...

Alkinyltriazene in photochemischen metallfreien Doyle‐Kirmse‐Umlagerungen

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 7, 9 February 2026.

Towards a Precise Semantics for Object-Oriented Modeling Techniques [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper we present a possible way how a precise semantics of object oriented modeling techniques can be achieved and what the possible benefits are .We outline the main modeling techniques used in the SysLab project sketch how a precise semantics ...

Entdeckung von Reaktionsmechanismen in porösen Materialien mittels periodischer Nanoreaktor‐Molekulardynamik

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 6, 2 February 2026.

Influence of microrays on the fibrinolytic activities of streptokinase and streptodornase [PDF]

open access: yes, 1967
The results of our study may briefly be summarized as follows: 1) The irradiation with microrays (20∼30 watts) similar as 2,000 R and 5,000 R Gamma radiation did not substantially affect the activity of fibrinolysin (SK+SD).

Quantitative Charakterisierung der inhomogenen Anströmung der Filterschicht bei der Staubabscheidung mit Oberflächenfiltern unter Verwendung von Markerpartikeln – Teil 1: Das methodische Vorgehen Quantitative Characterization of the Inhomogeneous Inflow of the Filter Layer During Dust Collection with Surface Filters Using Marker Particles – Part 1: Methodical Approach

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, Volume 98, Issue 1-2, Page 45-56, February 2026.
