Bulletin of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology, 1987Insecticide use on cotton has shifted away from the organochlorine compounds toward the organophosphate, carbamate and pyrethroid compounds. These latter three groups of compounds are generally less environmentally persistent and frequently more selective than the organochlorine compounds.

Proprietary emulsifiable concentrates were diluted and added to each of 90 glass Petri dishes for each pesticide and were left overnight to dry.
