Implementation of Microarrays for Methylobacterium extorquens AM1

OMICS: A Journal of Integrative Biology, 2007
Microarrays are an important tool for understanding global gene expression changes, and the resulting data sets can be used to direct physiologic and metabolic studies. To take advantage of this technology, 60-mer oligonucleotide microarrays were designed for Methylobacterium extorquens AM1 ...

Functional genomics of dichloromethane utilization in Methylobacterium extorquens DM4

Environmental Microbiology, 2011
Summary Dichloromethane (CH 2 Cl 2 , DCM) is a chlorinated solvent mainly produced by industry, and a common pollutant. Some aerobic methylotrophic bacteria are able to grow with this chlorinated methane as their sole carbon and energy

Cloning and characterization of indolepyruvate decarboxylase from Methylobacterium extorquens AM1

Biochemistry (Moscow), 2010
For the first time for methylotrophic bacteria an enzyme of phytohormone indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) biosynthesis, indole-3-pyruvate decarboxylase (EC 4.1.1.74), has been found. An open reading frame (ORF) was identified in the genome of facultative methylotroph Methylobacterium extorquens AM1 using BLAST. This ORF encodes thiamine diphosphate-dependent

On-Line Estimation of Stoichiometric Growth Parameters for Methylobacterium extorquens

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2004
Abstract On-line estimation of the stoichiometric parameters is proposed to monitor the behaviour of the fermentation of Methylobacterium extorquens . Feeding of the organism is done by using feedback linearizing adaptive control algorithms coupled with observer based estimator for yield coefficients.
