A metric approach to limit operators
We extend the limit operator machinery of Rabinovich, Roch, and Silbermann from Z^N to (bounded geometry, strongly) discrete metric spaces. We do not assume the presence of any group structure or action on our metric spaces.

Dimethyl Fumarate, But Not Rituximab, Reduces Serum GFAP Levels and PIRMA in Relapsing–Remitting MS
ABSTRACT Objective Serum neurofilament light chain (sNfL) and glial fibrillary acidic protein (sGFAP) levels are believed to reflect mainly acute and chronic disease processes in multiple sclerosis (MS), respectively. In this study, we investigated whether dimethyl fumarate (DMF) and rituximab (RTX) differentially affect these biomarkers.

Cubic Differentials in the Differential Geometry of Surfaces [PDF]
We discuss the local differential geometry of convex affine spheres in $\re^3$ and of minimal Lagrangian surfaces in Hermitian symmetric spaces. In each case, there is a natural metric and cubic differential holomorphic with respect to the induced ...

Objective This study assessed sarilumab in treating patients with polyarticular‐course juvenile idiopathic arthritis (pcJIA). Methods This phase 2b, open‐label study (NCT02776735) consisted of three sequential parts (each with a core‐treatment and extension phase).

Objective This study aimed to characterize the pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, safety, and exploratory efficacy of subcutaneous belimumab in pediatric patients with active systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) receiving standard therapy. Methods This single‐arm, multicenter, open‐label trial (GSK study 200908; ClinicalTrials.gov identifier ...

Vortices and Jacobian varieties
We investigate the geometry of the moduli space of N-vortices on line bundles over a closed Riemann surface of genus g > 1, in the little explored situation where 1 =< N < g. In the regime where the area of the surface is just large enough to accommodate

Metric-Affine Geometries with Spherical Symmetry [PDF]
We provide a comprehensive overview of metric-affine geometries with spherical symmetry, which may be used in order to solve the field equations for generic gravity theories which employ these geometries as their field variables. We discuss the most general class of such geometries, which we display both in the metric-Palatini formulation and in the ...

Objective We examined whether 18 months of strength training in individuals with knee varus alignment and medial tibiofemoral osteoarthritis (OA) reduced knee joint loads during walking compared to an attention control group. Methods This study was a secondary analysis of a randomized clinical trial that compared the effects of strength training to a ...

Exploring compact stellar structures in Finsler–Randers geometry with the Barthel connection
This study introduces a pioneering approach to analyzing compact stars through Finslerian geometry, which has not been previously explored in this context.

Transition to light-like trajectories in thin shell dynamics
It was recently shown that a massive thin shell that is sandwiched between a flat interior and an exterior geometry given by the outgoing Vaidya metric becomes null in a finite proper time.
