Systematic profiling of cancer‐fibroblast interactions reveals drug combinations in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Fibroblasts, cells in the tumor environment, support ovarian cancer cell growth and alter morphology and drug response. We used fibroblast and cancer cell co‐culture models to test 528 drugs and discovered new drugs for combination treatment. We showed that adding Vorinostat or Birinapant to standard chemotherapy may improve drug response, suggesting ...

Some Extensions of Fixed Point Results over Quasi-JS-Spaces

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2016
We introduce the notion of quasi-JS-metric space. After defining the basic topological properties of quasi-JS-metric space, we investigate fixed point of certain mapping in the frame of complete quasi-JS-metric space.

Circulating tumor DNA monitoring and blood tumor mutational burden in patients with metastatic solid tumors treated with atezolizumab

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In patients treated with atezolizumab as a part of the MyPathway (NCT02091141) trial, pre‐treatment ctDNA tumor fraction at high levels was associated with poor outcomes (radiographic response, progression‐free survival, and overall survival) but better sensitivity for blood tumor mutational burden (bTMB).

Metrics in the permutation space

open access: yesApplied Mathematics Letters, 1991
AbstractIn various problems the solution is completely specified by determining an optimal permutation of {1,…,n}. To use an optimum-seeking method one has to define the space of permutations, i.e., to define the metric of this space. The development of this area began with the pioneering work of E.S. Page [1].

Estimating the gap of finite metric spaces of strict p-negative type [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
Let (X,d) be a finite metric space. This paper first discusses the spectrum of the p-distance matrix of a finite metric space of p-negative type and then gives upper and lower bounds for the so called gap of a finite metric space of strict p-negative type. Furthermore estimations for the gap under a certain glueing construction for finite metric spaces

Genomics‐led approach to drug testing in models of undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
GA text Genomic data from undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma patients and preclinical models were used to inform a targeted drug screen. Selected compounds were tested in 2D and 3D cultures of UPS cell lines. A combination of trametinib and infigratinib was synergistic in the majority of UPS cell lines tested, which was further confirmed in an ex ...

Survey on the Canonical Metrics on the Teichmüller Spaces and the Moduli Spaces of Riemann Surfaces [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
This thesis results from an intensive study on the canonical metrics on the Teichm\"{u}ller spaces and the moduli spaces of Riemann surfaces. There are several renowned classical metrics on $T_g$ and $\mathcal{M}_g$, including the Weil-Petersson metric, the Teichm\"{u}ller metric, the Kobayashi metric, the Bergman metric, the Carath\'{e}odory metric ...
