Low energy dynamics of a CP^1 lump on the sphere [PDF]
Low-energy dynamics in the unit-charge sector of the CP^1 model on spherical space (space-time S^2 x R) is treated in the approximation of geodesic motion on the moduli space of static solutions, a six-dimensional manifold with non-trivial topology and ...

FPT-Algorithms for Computing Gromov-Hausdorff and Interleaving Distances Between Trees [PDF]
The Gromov-Hausdorff distance is a natural way to measure the distortion between two metric spaces. However, there has been only limited algorithmic development to compute or approximate this distance.

Hilbert Metric in the Unit Ball
The Hilbert metric between two points 𝑥, 𝑦 in a bounded convex domain 𝐺 is defined as the logarithm of the cross-ratio 𝑥, 𝑦 and the intersection points of the Euclidean line passing through the points 𝑥, 𝑦 and the boundary of the domain. Here, we study this metric in the case of the unit ball 𝔹𝑛.

Another extension of the disc algebra [PDF]
We identify the complex plane C with the open unit disc D={z:|z| z/(1+|z|). This leads to a compactification $\bar{C}$ of C, homeomorphic to the closed unit disc. The Euclidean metric on the closed unit disc induces a metric d on $\bar{C}$.

New Standards for Measurement in Meridians & Acupoints by Taking the Size of Normal Male Legs
Objective : Standard of measurement in Korean Medicine has been changed in dynasty and location. Thus, cun (寸) and chi (尺) as unit of measurement for meridians and acupoints could be recognized as the length of equally divided portions of a certain long ...

Completeness results for metrized rings and lattices [PDF]
The Boolean ring $B$ of measurable subsets of the unit interval, modulo sets of measure zero, has proper radical ideals (for example, $\{0\})$ that are closed under the natural metric, but has no prime ideal closed under that metric; hence closed radical

Kaleidoscopical graphs and semigroups [PDF]
We give a semigroup characterization of kaleidoscopical graphs. A connected graph Г (considered as a metric space with the path metric) is called kaleidoscopical if there is a vertex coloring of Г which is bijective on each unit ball.

Sums of two dimensional spectral triples
We study countable sums of two dimensional modules for the continuous complex functions on a compact metric space and show that it is possible to construct a spectral triple which gives the original metric back.
