Some Topological Properties of CbX

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2014
If X is a completely regular space, first we characterize those spaces CbX whose compact sets are metrizable. Then we use this result to provide a general condition for X to ensure the metrizability of compact sets in CbX.

One point compactification for generalized quotient spaces

open access: yesApplied General Topology, 2010
The concept of Generalized function spaces which were introduced and studied by Zemanian are further generalized as Boehmian spaces or as generalized quotient spaces in the recent literature.

Metrizability of Topology, Precompactness and Semi-Compatibal Mappings in Neutrosophic Metric Spaces [PDF]

open access: yesNeutrosophic Sets and Systems
In this manuscript, we discuss the metrizability of the topology produced by arbitrary neutrosophic metric space. Further, we demonstrate that the resulting topology is completely metrizable if the neutrosophic metric space is complete and a neutrosophic

Extensions defined using bornologies

open access: yesApplied General Topology, 2013
Many extensions of a space X such that the remainder Y is closed can be constructed as B-extensions, that is, by defining a topology on the disjoint union X [ Y , provided there exists a map, satisfying some conditions, from a basis of Y into the family ...

The fundamental theorem of asset pricing with and without transaction costs

open access: yesMathematical Finance, Volume 35, Issue 2, Page 567-609, April 2025.
Abstract We prove a version of the fundamental theorem of asset pricing (FTAP) in continuous time that is based on the strict no‐arbitrage condition and that is applicable to both frictionless markets and markets with proportional transaction costs. We consider a market with a single risky asset whose ask price process is higher than or equal to its ...

Hicks-Type Fixed Point Results and Uniform Structure in Intuitionistic Fuzzy b-Metric Spaces

open access: yesAxioms
In this paper, we propose a new class of intuitionistic fuzzy b-metric spaces in the sense of Romaguera and investigate their fixed-point properties. Within this framework, we define and analyze Hicks-type contraction mappings.

Covariant and contravariant approaches to topology

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1997
This paper is an exposition of results contained in [2]. The purpose of [2] is to present a way of viewing of basic topology which unifies quite a few results and concepts previously seemed not related (quotient maps, product topology, subspace topology,

Some critical remarks on the paper “A note on the metrizability of tvs-cone metric spaces” / Некоторые критические замечания о работе «Заметки о метризуемости твп-конических пространств» / Neke kritičke napomene o radu “Beleška o metrizabilnosti tvp-konusnih metričkih prostora” [PDF]

open access: yesVojnotehnički Glasnik, 2018
This short and concise note provides a detailed exposition of the approach and results established by (Lin et al, 2015, pp.271-279). We show that the obtained results are not particularly surprising and new.

Free semigroups of large critical exponent

open access: yesJournal of Topology, Volume 19, Issue 3, September 2026.
Abstract For a convergence group equipped with an expanding coarse‐cocycle, we construct finitely generated free subsemigroups, which we call Bishop−−Jonessemigroups$\textit{Bishop--Jones semigroups}$, of critical exponent arbitrarily close to but strictly less than the critical exponent of the ambient group.
