Experimental Study of Environmental Noise from Metro Train
In order to study noise emitted by metro train, the experiment is carried out in the test line of Shenzhen Metro Line 1. It can be concluded that the noise outside the metro train is mainly middle and low frequency; the higher the train speed is, the ...

Optimizing vertical alignment of underground metro for energy saving of train operation [PDF]
Existing studies on saving energy consumption of train movement (ECTM) have focused mainly on optimizing train operation and service timetable. However, the ECTM is also significantly affected by metro vertical alignment.

Additive Manufacturing of Patient‐Specific Intracranial Aneurysm Cell Culture Models
Patient‐specific intracranial aneurysm models were fabricated using chocolate moulding, 3D printed water‐soluble cores, and direct resin 3D printing. Moulding PDMS around sacrificial cores made of chocolate or 3D printed water‐soluble resin yielded accurate, expandable, and endothelializable models that outperformed resin‐based approaches.

Asymmetry in Skipping Enhances Viability Against Control Input Noise
Quadruped animals use asymmetric galloping gaits at high speeds, yet the functional role of this asymmetry remains unclear. This study shows that left–right asymmetry in touchdown angles enhances robustness to control noise. Using a simple two‐legged locomotion model and viability theory, it demonstrates that asymmetric skipping substantially enlarges ...

The last train problem for metro is especially important because the last trains are the last chances for many passengers to travel by metro; otherwise, they have to choose other traffic modes like taxis or buses. Among the problems, the passenger demand

ABSTRACT The Cordillera Administrative Region in the Philippines is home to terraced rice embedded in centuries of cultural heritage. However, weak market incentives threaten sustained production, jeopardizing indigenous communities' cultural heritage and the in situ biodiversity of rice genetic resources.
