Computer-Based Fuzzy Control of a Traction Motor in a Metro Vehicle

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1997
Abstract In this paper, proposed new control method of a separately excited dc traction motor using fuzzy logic. The design of a fuzzy logic controller for a dc motor drive, that produces the traction moment for light metro vehicle, is illustrated and implemented.

AN INTEGRATED DYNAMIC SIMULATION OF METRO VEHICLES IN A REAL OPERATING ENVIRONMENT

Vehicle System Dynamics, 1994
SUMMARY An integrated computer design method has been developed for fatigue life prediction of railway vehicle bogies. In principle, there are five parts in the procedure: specification and measurement of track geometry data; assembly of a suitable vehicle computer model and specification of rail/wheel profiles; description of dynamic suspension load ...

Soft Failure Analysis of Metro Vehicle Charger Circuit

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013
Failure prediction is of great significance for power electronics systems. Taking the metro vehicle charger circuit as an example, soft failures are discussed. The paper established the system simulation model through MATLAB/SIMULINK, and carried on spectrum analysis with POWERGUI module, and analyzed system output when the parameter changed.

Function Design of Emergency Rescue Vehicle in Metro Fire

ICTE 2011, 2011
Casualties usually occur in metro fires. It is obligatory to adopt an applicable emergency plan and rescue technology to reduce human casualties in metro fires. An emergency rescue vehicle in a metro fire is first put forward to be applied to metro fires. By using an emergency rescue vehicle in a metro fire, the rescuer can go to the fire field along a

VIBRO-ACOUSTIC CHARACTERIZATION OF A LIGHT METRO VEHICLE

2003
The vibro-acoustic characterization of a light rail vehicle is presented. Object of the study is "The Sirio" platform, ANSALDOBREDA's proposal for city transport on rails. The approach followed in the present work can be distinguished in 3 different fields of analysis: the vibro-acoustic characterization of on board equipments made on vehicle, the ...

Understanding high coupler forces at metro vehicles

Vehicle System Dynamics, 2007
Couplers of motor units connect the wagons mechanically, electrically and pneumatically. Nowadays they are also designed to meet crash requirements. Since the traction and braking forces are distributed along the motor unit, coupler forces occuring during operation are considered to be low. In most cases, this is actually true.

Reliability Analysis and Prediction of Metro Vehicles’ Bogie Frame

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014
Frame is the main bearing component of bogie and the reliability of which directly affects the performance and safety of the locomotive. Survival analysis is used for reliability analysis of bogie frame to solve uncertain life time problem. It turns out that the best life distribution model is three-parameter Weibull distribution. A prediction model of

Research on Metro Vehicle Vibration with Regard to Route Conditions

Advanced Materials Research, 2010
With the development of underground rail, the problem that vehicle vibration affects the vehicle’s life-span and harms the health of the passenger has been concerned. In this paper, a vibration test system has been formed with data collecting instrument and acceleration sensors to collect the signals of the metro vehicle floor when it running at the ...

Resilience of metro vehicle to blast events

2014
Underground railway systems are an intrinsic part of modern city living, enabling a wide variety of human activities, from work to leisure. Unfortunately, metro and commuter trains remain vulnerable to attack, as highlighted by the 2004 Madrid bombings and the 2005 attack in London.

Out-of-Round Wheels and the Correlation Problem of Metro Vehicles

International Conference on Transportation Engineering 2007, 2007
Spalling like scales of fish will emerge on the connection area between wheel tread and flange of one metro vehicle after it running a period of time on the track. The method of polish the track has not solved the phenomena yet. When wheel is out-of-round, the vertical vibration of the car-body is very big, and the tread must be cut to eliminate the ...
