Upscaling Sodium‐Ion Battery Cells: From Aqueous Processing to Performance Assessment of Hard Carbon|Prussian White Pouch Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates the feasibility of scaling up Prussian White (PW)‐based cathode manufacturing at a pilot scale. Through careful PW dehydration combined with optimized aqueous processing, we report the stepwise development of industrially relevant 1 Ah pouch cells and evaluate their performance under various conditions.

A case report of adolescent myofibrillar myopathy due to a de novo R406W pathogenic variant in desmin with symptoms of “hypertrophic cardiomyopathy”

open access: yesHeliyon
Objective: Myofibrillar myopathies (MFM) are a group of sporadic and inherited progressive skeletal muscle disorders that can lead to physical disability and premature death. To date, pathogenic variants in different genes are associated with MFM.

Magnetic-domain-controlled vortex pinning in a superconductor/ferromagnet bilayer

open access: yes, 2002
Vortex pinning in a type-II superconducting Pb film covering a Co/Pt multilayer with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy is investigated. Different stable magnetic domain patterns like band and bubble domains can be created in the Co/Pt multilayer, clearly

Toward Capacitive In‐Memory‐Computing: A Device to Systems Level Perspective on the Future of Artificial Intelligence Hardware

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Capacitive, charge‐domain compute‐in‐memory (CIM) stores weights as capacitance, eliminating DC sneak paths and IR‐drop, yielding near‐zero standbypower. In this perspective, we present a device to systems level performance analysis of most promising architectures and predict apathway for upscaling capacitive CIM for sustainable edge computing ...

Facilitating Genetic Testing for Perinatal Demise: Development of a Multidisciplinary Workflow

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Genetic contributors to perinatal demise are common but frequently undiagnosed due to clinical and logistical barriers. We aimed to improve access to genetic for intrauterine fetal demise (IUFD), stillbirth, and early neonatal death by developing a multidisciplinary workflow.

The Relationship Between Media Food Marketing Influence and Unhealthy Food Intake in Parent–Adolescent Dyads: An Actor–Partner Interdependence Model

open access: yesAdolescents
Media food marketing (MFM) may greatly influence adolescents’ and parents’ dietary behaviors through direct and mutual influences, yet the interplay of these dynamics is unexplored. This study investigated the impact of parents’ and adolescents’ trust in

Is MFM really useful?

open access: yesThe European Physical Journal B - Condensed Matter, 2002
The ill-posed linear inverse problems, characterised by Fredholm integral equations of the first kind, are encountered in many areas of science and technology. This type of problems present some loss of information under the inversion process. The loss of information often makes the inversion process very difficult. Magnetic force microscopy (MFM) is a

Electrical Impedance Myography Detects Disease Progression over 12 to 24 Months in Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objective Targeted therapies for facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) are progressing through clinical trials. Electrical impedance myography (EIM) provides a noninvasive biomarker of muscle composition that may be valuable especially in early phase trials. This study evaluated EIM data from a multicenter FSHD cohort over 24 months.
