Mechanical properties of Mg-8Gd-3Y-0.5Zr alloy with bimodal grain size distributions
The Mg-Gd-Y-Zn-Zr alloys are representational and potential age-hardening systems as reported in the past ten years, but their mechanical properties are still dependent on the grain size and its distribution. The effect of bimodal structure on mechanical

Low-cycle fatigue behaviour of Mg-9Gd-4Y-2Zn-0.5Zr alloys with different structures
The strain-controlled cyclic deformation behaviour of Mg-9Gd-4Y-2Zn-0.5Zr with different structures was investigated. Alloys were prepared by solution, extrusion and pre-ageing extrusion, and the microstructures before and after the fatigue tests were ...

Enhancing strength and creep resistance of Mg–Gd–Y–Zn–Zr alloy by substituting Mn for Zr
The age-hardening behavior and mechanical properties of the extruded Mg-2Gd-1.2Y-0.5 Zn (at.%) alloy with Zr or Mn additions were investigated. The results show that Mn added alloy exhibits more remarkable age-hardening response than Zr added alloy ...

Passivation kinetics of Mg-Nd-Gd-Zn-Zr (EV31A) and Mg-Y-Nd-Gd-Zr (WE43C) in NaOH solutions
Passivation kinetics of two Mg-RE alloys, such as Mg-Nd-Gd-Zn-Zr (EV31A), and Mg-Y-Nd-Gd-Zr (WE43C) were investigated in two different heat treated conditions (solution treated and overaged) in 0.01 - 1.0 M NaOH solutions under potentiostatic conditions.
