Refractories and Industrial Ceramics, 2003Binary and ternary fused compositions based on alumomagnesian spinel, aluminum titanate, and mullite are studies using various techniques of physicochemical analysis. The minimum incipient melting temperature in the MgAl2O4 – Al6Si2O13 – Al2TiO5 system is [1645 ± 15] °C.
