Dynamic Frequency and Overload Management in Autonomous Coupled Microgrids for Self-Healing and Resiliency Improvement

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Autonomous microgrids (MGs) are being installed in large remote areas to supply power where access to the utility grid is unavailable or infeasible. The power generation of such standalone MGs is largely dominated by renewable based energy sources where ...

Myasthenia gravis: MuSK MG, late-onset MG and ocular MG.

open access: yesActa myologica : myopathies and cardiomyopathies : official journal of the Mediterranean Society of Myology, 2020
Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an autoimmune disease of the neuromuscular junction which affects all striated muscles, resulting in fluctuating weakness. Approaching MG as a disease with subgroups having different clinical, serological and genetic features is crucial in predicting the progression and planning treatment. Three relatively less frequently seen

Stereoselective Insertion of Cyclopropenes into Mg–Mg Bonds

open access: yesChemical Communications, 2022
The reaction of cyclopropenes with compounds containing Mg–Mg bonds is reported. 1,2-Dimagnesiation occurs exclusively by syn-addition to the least hindered face of the alkene forming a single diastereomeric product. DFT calculations support a concerted and stereoselective mechanism.

The inner wind of IRC+10216 revisited: New exotic chemistry and diagnostic for dust condensation in carbon stars [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Aims. We model the chemistry of the inner wind of the carbon star IRC+10216 and consider the effect of periodic shocks induced by the stellar pulsation on the gas to follow the non-equilibrium chemistry in the shocked gas layers.
