Cholesterol lowering drug may influence cellular immune response by altering MHC II function[S]
Major histocompatibility complex class II (MHC II) expressed on the surface of antigen-presenting cells (APCs) displays peptides to CD4+ T cells. Depletion of membrane cholesterol from APCs by methyl β-cyclodextrin treatment compromises peptide-MHC II ...

MHC matching improves engraftment of iPSC-derived neurons in non-human primates
The banking of human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-homozygous-induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) is considered a future clinical strategy for HLA-matched cell transplantation to reduce immunological graft rejection.

Antigen-Specific Polyclonal Cytotoxic T Lymphocytes Induced by Fusions of Dendritic Cells and Tumor Cells [PDF]
The aim of cancer vaccines is induction of tumor-specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) that can reduce the tumor mass. Dendritic cells (DCs) are potent antigen-presenting cells and play a central role in the initiation and regulation of primary immune ...

Self‐Immolative Activatable Nanoassembly toward Immuno‐Photodynamic Therapy in TME
A quinone methide‐gated, self‐immolative, H2O2‐responsive nano‐photosensitizer (Pyz/PS) is developed for targeted immuno‐photodynamic therapy. Pyz/PS selectively activates within tumor microenvironments, restores photosensitizer activity, generates ROS, and depletes intracellular GSH, enhancing oxidative stress.

The highly anisotropic Fermi surface of bismuth results in variations in magnetotransport properties across different crystallographic directions, which can be characterized by studying microcrystals. To avoid the observed surface melting under room temperature Focused Ion Beam (FIB) irradiation, two low‐temperature FIB fabrication methods are proposed

Many undergraduates report having mental health concerns (MHC), which can reduce academic success. Students with MHC are encouraged to seek help from their instructors but may not because of perceived negative reactions by instructors and peers.

A modular bioreactor platform was developed in order to replicate bone homeostasis and pathology, thereby integrating mechanical loading, dynamic perfusion, and a 3D‐printed microfluidic chamber. With precise control of environmental parameters and dual perfusion for composite tissue models, the system enhances physiological relevance for studying bone

Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) Genes and Disease Resistance in Fish
Fascinating about classical major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules is their polymorphism. The present study is a review and discussion of the fish MHC situation. The basic pattern of MHC variation in fish is similar to mammals, with MHC class I

Cellular expression and crystal structure of the murine cytomegalovirus MHC-Iv glycoprotein, m153 [PDF]
Mouse cytomegalovirus (MCMV), a β-herpesvirus that establishes latent and persistent infections in mice, is a valuable model for studying complex virus-host interactions.
