On the magnetohydrodynamic load and the magnetohydrodynamic metage [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics of Plasmas, 2008
In analogy with the load and the metage in hydrodynamics, this paper defines magnetohydrodynamic load and magnetohydrodynamic metage in the case of magnetofluids. They can be used to write the magnetic field in MHD in Clebsch’s form. It has been shown herein how these two concepts can be utilized to derive the magnetic analog of the Ertel’s theorem and

Nonlinear theory of non-axisymmetric resonant slow waves in straight magnetic flux tubes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Nonlinear resonant slow magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) waves are studied in weakly dissipative isotropic plasmas for a cylindrical equilibrium model. The equilibrium magnetic field lines are unidirectional and parallel with the z axis. The nonlinear governing

Remarks on Liouville type theorems for the steady MHD and Hall-MHD equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
In this note we investigate Liouville type theorems for the steady three dimensional MHD and Hall-MHD equations, and show that the velocity field $u$ and the magnetic field $B$ are vanishing provided that $B\in L^{6,\infty}(\mathbb{R}^3)$ and $u\in BMO^{-1}(\mathbb{R}^3)$, which state that the velocity field plays an important role.

Multiscaling in Models of Magnetohydrodynamic Turbulence [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
From a direct numerical simulation of the MHD equations we show, for the first time, that velocity and magnetic-field structure functions exhibit multiscaling, extended self similarity (ESS), and generalized extended self similarity (GESS).

Ambipolar diffusion in low-mass star formation. I. General comparison with the ideal MHD case [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, we provide a more accurate description of the evolution of the magnetic flux redistribution during prestellar core collapse by including resistive terms in the magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) equations.

MHD Peristaltic flow of a nanofluid in a constricted artery for different shapes of nanosized particles

open access: yesNonlinear Engineering, 2019
MHD peristaltic transport of copper-water nanofluid in an artery with mild stenosis for different shapes of nanoparticles is studied in this paper. The exact solution is obtained for velocity, temperature and pressure gradient.

An On-Orbit Dynamic Calibration Method for an MHD Micro-Angular Vibration Sensor Using a Laser Interferometer

open access: yesSensors, 2019
The magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) micro-angular vibration sensor is a significant component of the MHD Inertial Reference Unit (MIRU) and measures micro-amplitude and wide frequency angular vibration. The MHD micro-angular vibration sensor must be calibrated

Parker Problem in Hall Magnetohydrodynamics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Parker problem in Hall magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) is considered. Poloidal shear into the toroidal flow generated by the Hall effect is incorporated.

Level of therapeutic innovation from the registration studies of the new drugs for the prophylaxis of migraine

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Volume 47, Issue 12, Page 2130-2139, December 2022., 2022
The new monoclonal antibodies of the class of CGRP targeting therapies have been authorized with efficacy data only against placebo. They do not offer additional clinical benefits compared to available therapies for the prevention of migraine attacks, with the exception of a lower frequency of administration.
