Laboratory powder diffraction and microtomography techniques are sequentially used in the same volume of the same sample to study the process of cement hydration with time.Portland cements (PCs) and cement blends are multiphase materials of different fineness, and quantitatively analysing their hydration pathways is very challenging.

Human‐based new approach methodologies to accelerate advances in nutrition research
Much of nutrition research has been conventionally based on the use of simplistic in vitro systems or animal models. Here, we describe the main novel available and emerging tools that are appropriate for designing a more human‐relevant nutrition research.

Prediction of Coarse Aggregate Performance by Micro-Deval and Other Soundness, Strength, and Intrinsic Particle Property Tests [PDF]
Aggregate samples were collected from the majority of the U.S. states, as well as several Canadian provinces, and subjected to micro-Deval, Los Angeles abrasion, magnesium sulfate soundness, Canadian freeze-thaw, aggregate crushing value, absorption, specific gravity, and particle shape characterization testing to determine whether a correlation exists

Abstract In this study, a biofloc technology (BFT) based 90‐day feeding trial was performed to estimate the effects of four different dietary protein levels (290, 320, 350 and 380 g protein kg−1 diet; 29P, 32P, 35P, and 38P, respectively) on growth performance, digestive enzyme activity, non‐specific immune response, whole‐body proximate and fatty acid

Synthesis and Catalytic Applications of Advanced Sn‐ and Zr‐Zeolites Materials
This review summarizes the synthesis strategy and catalytic applications of Sn‐ and Zr‐containing metallosilicate materials, which focus on the effect of zeolite characteristics on their superior catalytic performances. The conclusions, challenges, and future directions of Sn‐ and Zr‐zeolites are also discussed.

Micro-abrasion resistance of thermochemically treated steels in aqueous solutions: Mechanisms, maps, materials selection [PDF]
The area of micro-abrasion is an interesting and relatively recent area in tribo-testing methodologies, where small particles of less than 10 μm are employed between interacting surfaces.
