The Value of Micro-Doppler in Stereotactic Brain Biopsy
min - Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery, 2005The aim of this study was to analyse the value of intraoperative micro-Doppler in stereotactic brain biopsy (SBB). So far, only a few studies have reported about the usefulness of micro-Doppler in stereotactic brain biopsy.Between 1998 and 2003, 155 SBBs were performed in 153 patients with micro-Doppler (81 males, 72 females, mean age: 59 years).

Classification of human micro-Doppler in a radar network
2013 IEEE Radar Conference (RadarCon13), 2013The unique, bi-pedal motion of humans has been shown to generate a characteristic micro-Doppler signature in the time-frequency domain that can be used to discriminate humans from not just other targets, but also between different activities, such as walking and running.

The Simulation Model for the Micro-Doppler Analysis
2020 New Trends in Signal Processing (NTSP), 2020The paper presents mathematical analysis and MATLAB simulation model of unmanned aerial vehicles with rotary parts for micro-Doppler signatures. Mathematical model is based on radar transmission principles valid in real physical environment. The aim of the article is to show effective simulation model for the micro-Doppler signatures verification and ...

Drone Recognition by Micro-Doppler and Kinematic
2020 17th European Radar Conference (EuRAD), 2021Illegal, malicious or dangerous uses of drones, require developing systems capable of detecting, tracking and recognizing them in a non-collaborative way, and with enough anticipation in order to assign adapted interception means to the threat. The reduced size of autonomous aircraft makes it difficult to be detected over long distances with sufficient

Template based micro-Doppler signature classification
IET Seminar on High Resolution Imaging and Target Classification, 2006The micro-Doppler signature of a target is a time varying frequency modulation imparted on the radar echo signal by moving components of the target. Battlefield radar output the baseband signal as audio and soldiers listening on headphones are able to identify the target from its micro-Doppler signature.

UAV Micro-Doppler Signature Analysis
2020 IEEE Radar Conference (RadarConf20), 2020The radar phenomenology of UAVs interacts with the micro-Doppler signal processing in interesting and useful ways. This paper adjusts the micro-Doppler processing to establish more consistent UAV micro-Doppler signatures and improve the separability of relevant features. The outlined approach is developed in the context of UAV rotor analysis.

Micro-Doppler Deception Jamming for Tracked Vehicles
IGARSS 2018 - 2018 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2018As tracked vehicles play significant roles in a battlefield, effective jamming measures is necessary to protect them from being perceived by hostile radar. Moving tracked vehicles exhibit strong Doppler and micro-Doppler signatures. Therefore, the jamming signal should include micro-Doppler modulation generated by metallic caterpillars for successful ...

Multistatic Micro-Doppler Signature of personnel
2008 IEEE Radar Conference, 2008For the first time the multistatic Micro-Doppler Signature (mu-DS) of personnel targets has been collected using University College Londonpsilas NetRAD radar system. The data demonstrates that using a multistatic mu-DS is a viable approach to overcoming the problem of self-occlusion, where a target obstructs its own mu-DS, in automatic target ...

Gait Variations in Human Micro-Doppler
International Journal of Electronics and Telecommunications, 2011Gait Variations in Human Micro-DopplerMeasurement of human gait variation is important for security applications such as the indication of unexpected loading due to concealed weapons. To observe humans safely, unobtrusively, and without privacy issues, radar provides one method to detect abnormal activity without using images. In this paper we focus on
